Lawson State fall 2017

Hello everyone I would like to congratulate everyone who made it into this falls (2016) cohort. I will be applying to Lawsons fall 2017 cohort. I am creating this forum for those who are currently in the program that would like to encourage the next class and also let us know what to expect and for those applying to the 2017 cohort. Lets also post scores as we complete classes and take the ACT. So far I have taken bio 103, micro, eng, a&p 1, psych 1& 2, humanity, and will be taking a&p 2 and math 100 this miniterm and will be taking hps 103 and mth 186 in January. Oh and also remember no question is a dumb question unless you dont ask it!!!

Doing pretty good. When do you all have to apply?

No, I'm all done with my pre reqs, just need to take the ACT for Lawson and make sure I have all of my transcripts and complete the application. :yes:

OK. Y'all Make sure you take Lawson's orientation class. There are several people in last semester that they are saying need to take it now or they can't graduate. Its causing quite a stir lol.

OMG!!!! Really??!! That's awful! Though I've already taken it., that God! What about PE? Is PE required to Graduate from the nursing program?

No PE isn't required.

Oh, okay, lol! I went to one about 2 years on the B'ham, campus about a year ago, but couldn't remember what month it took place.

Hey Shonta05 how are things going I think I am ready to apply. I just found out that Lawson will take the ACT Residual taken at another institution and that made my day because I didn't do so well on the April National ACT.

Hi All is going okay. Not as planned though. I am needing to see if my Residual at another college will let me get my results I did back in March. I don't think I will make the ACT/Residual in time before the deadline. I am planning on finishing up my Pre-reqs for UAB Nursing program and finish up at UAB if I don't get into Lawson. Congratulations to the class of 2017
