Lawson State fall 2017

Hello everyone I would like to congratulate everyone who made it into this falls (2016) cohort. I will be applying to Lawsons fall 2017 cohort. I am creating this forum for those who are currently in the program that would like to encourage the next class and also let us know what to expect and for those applying to the 2017 cohort. Lets also post scores as we complete classes and take the ACT. So far I have taken bio 103, micro, eng, a&p 1, psych 1& 2, humanity, and will be taking a&p 2 and math 100 this miniterm and will be taking hps 103 and mth 186 in January. Oh and also remember no question is a dumb question unless you dont ask it!!!

Hey blsednurse2be....Happy new years to you as well...yes I am so excited that this year has finally began now we can start the countdown lol...last semester was a success I was fortunate to make all A's... this semester I'm taking the HPS mth 186 and mth 100 hope I can make all A's... I scheduled my ACT test for Feb 11th didn't see any other earlier dates on the ACT website available. I saw some dates on the lawsons website but it didn't appear when I tried to register.

Hey there Jmill90, Yes! We can finally start our own countdown lol. I am so happy that last semester was a success for you. You did awesome making all A's! I ended up with two A's and one B in Spanish. I am pretty excited with those grades due to Spanish being the hardest subject for me lol. I am confident you will make all A's in HPS, MATH 186, and Math 100. The instructors that teach those classes are pretty good. I am taking the ACT residual at Jeff State on the 18th. I scheduled that one through their testing option on their website.. I was originally scheduled to take the ACT residual for Jeff State on the 13th, but I need more time to study lol. I scheduled my ACT Residual for Lawson for April the 6th, I believe. I just called the school and scheduled that one over the phone through the testing center.

I absolutely loved spanish when I took it!!!! Im so looking forward to taking these nurse prep courses but I havent taken a class at lawson in a very long time so im very nervous.... Im going to find my classes before they start. I was gonna go tomorrow until they started talking about all of this possible snow...

I was confused at first but I understand now.. You are taking the ACT at jeff state. I wish Lawson offered some earlier dates, so I could practice. I guess my fear is if I take it at Jeff state and it turns out to be my best score, Lawson won't take it. Then ill be mad as H***!!!!!! Lol:yes:

IKR! I really don't want snow right now. I don't blame you. I would be too! I was under the impression that I had to take the ACT Residual instead of the National ACT. So, can I just take the National ACT one time and the schools accept just that one? I know that both schools said that they will only accept the ACT residual score taken at their school.

I just called Lawson they said that the National ACT test scores can be used at any school and the residual is for school use only. According to the ACT website the national dates are in Dec April and June. So to answer your question you should be able to take the national act ONLY but I would recommend that you call Lawson to verify.

Have you heard any good reviews about the success books by Davis like med surg success, maternal and newborn success, pharmacology success etc. ?
