Lawson state community college, Nursing Program 2016, ADN, LPN

Wanted to start a thread for Lawson State Hopefuls Nursing Program SUMMER AND FALL 2016. Are there anyone that will be applying soon or already a Nursing student in the program already? I will be apply in a few months from now

My TEAS scores isnt as high as I wanted it to be so it has me worried

Did the score say you were proficient?

I wouldn't worry so much about TEAS. I know a few people in my class who didn't do well on TEAS and they got it. Its really your science scores and gpa that matter most

Okay. Some people make it seem like it is such a big deal. So it makes ne nervous. I knew one girl in the LPN program at Lawson. Her grades were not that good at all. She had mostly Cs but she got into the LPN program even though she applied to both. I have fairly good grades. A in math. An A, B and C in my science classes and I took the HPS class for the extra 11 points.. so me making a C in my 202 class im hopin those extra 11 points help make it up a little. I made a 79 in my 202 :(

Hearing different things from different people makes me so nervous. Like u wont get in if your TEAS scores isnt this or you wont get in if u have any Cs in your science classes. I wish I knew what to believe maybe I wouldnt be feeling so anxious :(

I didnt do as good. The first time I ever took it I didnt study. I took it again a couple months ago an called myself studying. I made higher on the first try. I already turned in my app for lawson. But I also am Applying for another school and I am basically accepted. My grades were good to the nursing instructor she just wanted me to retake my TEAS next month but I really wanted to get into Lawson in Bessemer or Shelton

I dont know i applied to several different ones. I dont know because they had to calculate my gpa from other schools also

But for the school that said my grades were good. She didnt say. She just said everything was fine but they just required a certain score for teas to get in. I was only 2 points away though

Ah ok I was wondering if you added up the points to see what you had. Its easier to gage then usually if you have 170 and up you're good.
