Wanted to start a thread for Lawson State Hopefuls Nursing Program SUMMER AND FALL 2016. Are there anyone that will be applying soon or already a Nursing student in the program already? I will be apply in a few months from now

oh okay. I heard that you haven't took the teas test yet? I plan on taking mines in Jan. I am in Biology class now and about to finish with it this semester.

Do you think it is a bad Ideal to start in the summer?

I think it all depends on the person. If I get aceepted I plan on doing it. I work full time and have two kids so I would have to find a part time job working 2 days a week. My advisor also encourage nursing students to stay away from summer classes if you are taking Biology classes. But again it depends on how you think you will do. But a lot of people say to start in the Fall. I also looked into it like this. I may not get another chance this year to apply and get accepted if I dont apply this time around.

Does anyone know how many days per week? or does anyone know whats the average number of points accepted. Im also applying to summer Lawson state 2016

Looking at the older posts I assume that they dont have a set number when it comes to the points. I always heard that they go with the highest and go from there. I dont know if you have taken the teas test yet so try to aim high on it to get your points up. Having good grades in biology helps too. And as far as the days for the program its really busy. The schedule is at least going toclass at least 3 out of 4 days. They also encourge nursing students not to work unless they have to. I would have to find a part time job working two days for a few hours.

I am applying for the fall program at Lawson. I don't see as many people talking on the site about Lawson but I'll be keeping my eye on the forum. Hopefully people start posting their points and any information they know (since the program is going through changes now.) Good luck!

Yes they are changing the program after this Fall. You should see new info on the website when they change over. I went to the info session and they said they will accept around 100 but cant remember if they said 130 or 140.

Did you apply? Im worried about my points and if thats enough to get in... What are your total points so far?

I am already in the program for RN (going to 3rd semester this summer). If you all have questions, I will be more than happy to try to answer them
