Wanted to start a thread for Lawson State Hopefuls Nursing Program SUMMER AND FALL 2016. Are there anyone that will be applying soon or already a Nursing student in the program already? I will be apply in a few months from now

Oh okay. I didnt see any new changes on the website. I did look at the RN application about a few hours ago but it still had the old info on it. I went back to see if the bham campus had an LPN on it but its just on the bessemer campus. Oh okay maybe they will take either requirements this fall and just start fresh for next year. Im just happy no more teas test. I rather use the ACT scores. But I only applied to lawson. I wanted to do jeff state since its about 25 mins from my job but I might apply there next year.

The requirements of the TEAS test and GPA and two separate programs. LPN and RN. They were going to change the new curriculum to the new fall 16 class but decided against it as it would be hard for the instructors to teach on two different curriculums. It would be hard to teach us (4th semester) under the old curriculum and you all (incoming class) on the new curriculum. At least that's how our instructors explained it to us

You will probably get in this fall no worries! I am really nervous. Idk though. Call tomorrow an ask the nursinf department if it mattered if you applied to the lpn or RN. She told me it didnt matter so I just got RN an filled it out for bham an bessemer. Jeff too far for me. I stay in tuscaloosa

Idk they are so confusing. I was just going by what the woman at Bham campus was telling me. Either way I hope I get into someones program. I am tired of putting this off. Ready to start my life

Unfortunately yes, they sometimes have issues with everyone in the department being on the same page. I wish you ladies luck and pray you get in í ½í¸Š

So is it true that if u get accepted the letter will come in a big yellow envelope with orientation papers an stuff about the program also?

I don't remember the color of the envelope but iT does come with an acceptance package. Info on your physical and drug screen and uniform ordering. For those that may need tuition (Help because you won't get full time hours fist semester) should think about applying for WIA

Yes I have thought about applying for that. They said you have to wait until you get your acceptance letter. Ugh. If I dont get a big packet in the mail I am just going to throw it away not even going to open it.
