Hello! I am starting this topic so we, who applied to LATTC, can keep each other informed. I have applied July 2 2018, and so far I have not started the program. When I went to go check where I was at on the waitlist, it looks like they only got to those who applied April/May 2018 for the cohort Fall 2020. That being said I believe I will be starting Spring 2021. Please comment any information you may have or when you applied ?

I didn’t take it because I chose to become a nurse, at the end of the Pre Reqs I had said “well might as well finished what you started and with a 3 semester wait you won’t be finished with law school by then anyway”. 3 Semesters was the max I was willing to wait and I am not one of those people who change career direction at the end. Now that you guys are saying it’s a 4 semester wait which is really a 5 semester wait and oh don’t forget the Summers. Then ya at that point I would have said to hell with this and gone to law school, I was already planning this year to just start the RN program on schedule for Spring, finish it and go back to Law School for me I can be done in two years flat and start right away. My advice to anyone that can do anything aside from nursing would be to do it. Apply to be a cop if you have an interest in Law Enforcement they make more money than nurses, better benefits, and no school required, if you are finished with your BS requirements and just got on the waiting list and have maybe an interest in Law try Law School. As someone who has devoted the last 8 years of her life becoming a CNA, then an LVN and then working in acute care hospitals and home health I have learned this business and know what to expect and I can tell you now the majority of you will find nursing a constant struggle with little pay compared to more advanced fields, high stress, physically exhausting and mentally exhausting with all the hospital politics. So if you have just got on the waitlist consider it

I am attending the workshop for LAHC nursing program on July 30, they have loosened their criteria and no longer count Ws, which was messed me up in applying at other schools, they use 50% multi criteria and 50% random lottery. Their application period is coming up in September so I am going to give it a shot. Can’t hurt right?
Hello!
Hope you all are doing well! Has anyone heard from the school or the status of our applications?? I was told I should be starting Spring 2021 but haven’t heard anything. I emailed and no response. I’m just curious what I should do next. I’m not even sure if the school is open for me to walk in and check. Any info is greatly appreciated!
@Slara13 unfortunately I haven’t heard anything. Their’s an info session coming up on August 5th through zoom, I suggest you register and attend so you can ask questions about what the fall will look like or the way forward. I’m guessing the Nursing counsellors will be there to address any concerns as well.
I’ll advice people to please register for the info session. They have multiple dates coming up. The session for next week Wednesday is already open for registration on eventbrite and it will be full soon.
Let us know if y’all hear anything, I’ll keep you guys posted after I attend the session on Wednesday. If you Can’t make it and want me to ask any question, please let me know.
Thank you so much for your response. Are you also supposed to start in the Spring?? Can you send me the info to register for the zoom please??

I've called several times and no one answers. How do I get in contact with someone?
@Slara13 I applied in April 2019 and I was suppose to start in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022. That was what they told me when I checked before the pandemic.
for the zoom info session just go to the LATTC nursing website and click on info session, you’ll see the different dates to register for.
Hi if I missed out on everyone convo I'm sorry but too lazy to read everything. I applied the end of June 2018 and did not start this fall. Anyone who has applied expect to wait a minium of 2 years. Honestly don't lose hope. If this is truly what you want and it's your only best option whether financially or the only school that took you. Just wait it out, save money, and get experience under your belt as a CNA in a hospital. The experience will mostly benefit you as a person and future nurse
It sucks to wait but that's the con of first come first serve.

Is it okay to join even if we’re on the waitlist or is it only for new students interested in the program?
