  1. Hi if I missed out on everyone convo I'm sorry but too lazy to read everything. I applied the end of June 2018 and did not start this fall. Anyone who has applied expect to wait a minium of 2 years. Honestly don't lose hope. If this is truly what you want and it's your only best option whether financially or the only school that took you. Just wait it out, save money, and get experience under your belt as a CNA in a hospital. The experience will mostly benefit you as a person and future nurse It sucks to wait but that's the con of first come first serve.
  2. Thank you!! It'll feel more surreal when the letter comes. But you'll get in soon enough just save up money while you wait and enjoy your time off.
  3. Yeah when I saw someone said they were selecting through June I emailed ------------------------- because I got worried I miss an email/phone call and I asked her how would we hear if we got in. she said I was #5 on the list and will receive a letter in October. Maybe it was most of June but I was really hoping this fall. Yeah freaking 2 1/2 year wait when I actually get in.
  4. @Carlos_pichardo June 28, 2018
  5. Does anyone know which hospitals they do their clinicals at? I'm just curious. I'm suppose to be starting Spring 2021 so I'm anxious LOL
  6. @Gg8 yeah she’s only replied once when there was a miscommunication about my application but that was it. She’s never replied with an update about my spot. If anything fall semester doesn’t start until August so we have a good gap before we hear back. I know LA has been more restrictive with the lockdown so let’s just wait and keep each other updated
  7. @Gg8 yeah last I went was August and she told me it would be fall 2020.. But when I first went another lady told me 2022?? so I kept going to the office every semester just for my sanity. I think each semester varies too depending how many people apply and wait or decide to go somewhere else like west coast. I kinda wish they just sent an updated number and I know she hates getting emails of where we are but not hearing anything sucks ?
  8. Yeah I guess might as well wait right? and just keep saving money. I emailed her last week and haven’t heard anything, usually I’ll go in every semester to talk to her but since this whole thing I’m sure they’re not even there. They extended the quarantine until April 30th?
  9. Me too but it’s making me upset. I’m currently looking to apply out of state since I feel like Cali is too competitive for me to even apply anymore. Really thought LATTC would be this year and it’s so disappointing and such a long wait. They should put 2-3 year wait minimum not semesters.
  10. Kinda bummed haven’t heard back either and I applied June 2018
  11. I applied June 2018 and still have not heard back. When I talk to angel a few months ago she said it would be Fall 2020, I asked her what’re the chances it’s Spring 2021? Because I felt like I was never starting LOL she assured me it would be Fall 2020
  12. Hi guys! So I received a call a week before the nursing orientation and was asked if I wanted to be an alternate. I went to the compton orientation last week and basically told the alternates to not purchase or do anything until they hear back. I still haven’t heard any updates on my spot. Sorry for the late response nothing really has happened besides being an alternate. Not excited until I’m actually in the program. Congrats to everyone
  13. I haven’t heard anything I didn’t get into ECC so I don’t think I got into compton either ?
  14. lol nah she talks about how her and her husband budget a lot and is paying it all off. she seems super down to earth but she has a ton of videos directing questions about school etc. && Yes once I am in nursing I told everyone I will be 100% focused only on nursing because this is my "only" opportunity to pass and grow. I messed up with my science classes letting drama/work distract me from getting straight A's but never again lol. Good luck and work hard, you are in so take this opportunity to grow!!
