Compton ADN Fall 2020
Hi, NurseRFlowers, At Compton and at El Camino they have the same criteria. You also need intro to nursing, Dosage and calculation, and Statistics in order to apply. They utilize the Multi-Criteria Screening Process criteria. They don't do waiting list and lottery either. There's no school that doesn't require TEAS, but you can apply even you haven't taken the TEAS. Once you are in the pool of applicants they send you an invitation letter to take the TEAS because is mandatory to take it and now, due to covid-19, I hear of some ppl who took the exam from their homes and they just complied with the requirements that ATI TEAS was asking like camera, audio, and IDK which else. YOu can check that out on the TEAS website, there's all the information. Besides, Los Angeles Trade-Tech is first come, first serve, they don't reject any applicants. Once you apply there, they put you in a waiting list, and you have to wait up to 3 or 4 semesters to get a spot into the program. I advise you to apply there, just in case, as a plan B, they have the orientations online. My overall GPA was 3.47, my TEAS was 69.7. My sciences GPA was 3.00 (3 Bs in Physiology, micro, and anatomy). I was reapplying at Compton, so I had an extra 5 points... I have attached you some information, I couldn't find the one from Compton in my compu, but the application criteria from El Camino is the same as Compton, so you can check it out. Any questions, just let me know. Luck! LA TRADE INFORMATIVE SESSION.docx Multicriteria Screening Process Effective Fall 2020 Applications 11-13-2019.pdf Generic Nursing Program.pdf

Compton ADN Fall 2020
hey, if you aren't accepted, don't lose your hopes to get into any program. LA Trade has a waiting list. I also applied there last semester just in case I wasn't accepted in any other program. FYI the 24th they will be holding an online orientation. The con is that the waiting list there takes like 3 or 4 semesters, but...

Compton ADN Fall 2020
Thank you so much. I hope you can get your spot after many others decline. I also applied to Harbor and Long Beach and they haven't sent letters yet, but Harbor College said July 6th was the last day to submit TEAS scores, so I'm still waiting for it, and if I'm accepted at Harbor I'll reject the spot at Compton, but this is a matter of luck because I'm not competitive enough to be accepted at Harbor by points, but since they choose 50/50 lottery and points, I'm betting for the lottery. im not so hopeful, though. Thank you, El Camino sent out letters last week and this one. A friend of a friend got her letter this week.

Compton ADN Fall 2020
I was accepted into the nursing program at Compton. I got my contingency letter on Friday June 12th, at midnight. My friend got her letter yesterday (Wednesday) at 5pm. I think she was selected after somebody else reject the spot because on Wednesday 17th at 3:00 pm was the deadline to accept/reject the contingency letters.

El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process
Thanks @Dub... very helpful. I already register and sent my transcripts there. I’ll call tomorrow, my friend sent an email but she wasn’t replied back. I still have a 0.00001 of faith with the Compton application since I haven’t received a denial letter. But I think nobody hasn’t received one, so I’m not so hopeful about it.

Hi guys! @Dub I have a doubt! I was looking for information in the LA Trade-tech but I couldn’t find anything about sessions or whatever related to the nursing program, just the basic, things we already know like prerequisites, TEAs, etc. But not for orientations. I asked here in another forum about the orientation dates there and I was replied that I need to go to their info session which requires an RSVP and after that a pre req clearance workshop. They are first come first serve so I can go any time. So now I’m confused. How can I receive the invitation or RSVP for the session?

Los Angeles Trade Tech Acceptance Spring & Fall 2020
Hi guys! New here in this forum! I want to apply to LA Trade, since I already wasn’t accepted in Compton College. A friend told me that LA Trade has a wait list, but if I apply there, it will be like 2 or 5 semester in the waiting list. I tried to gather information from the webpage of LA Trade, but I couldn’t find anything about orientation, or dates for applying. if you don’t mind, may you please share information about this program, and how is the process there?

El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process
Hi all of you and congrats to those who could get into the program. I just want some advise, I applied just to the Compton program and I couldn’t make it. I mean, I haven’t received my denial letter yet, but I’m hopeless because I not even reached the points to be in the alternate group. Up to now, I have all the requirements for transfer because I wanted to do the dual program at Dominguez in case I was accepted. My overall gpa is 3.4, sciences 3.0, my teas was just 69 (I messed up in the English portion) I’m 33 years old. No experience as a CNV or LVN, first to attend college, low income, ESL student, etc. Well, my point is, what I can do to be an RN because I wasn’t accepted? I will keep applying and in this Spring I will apply to many other colleges. I will volunteer, but by doing that I just can increase by 2 points my score and I’m still wouldn’t be highly competitive for a spot. I cannot repeat the TEAS because in all the programs they just take the first passing score. So, my question is what can I do as a back up, I was thinking to get a CNA, then LVN and do it in that way, but I read that LVN-RN pathway doesn’t warrants me an ADN, just will gives me the chance to take the NCLEX to be a RN. With that, may I get the BSN in the dual program? I read that LBCC gives the opportunity to LVN to get the ADN by the RN-30 pathway if you have the prerequisites (I have them all) but I heard is highly competitive. The other option was to get into a private program, I only have used 2 years of my financial aid, and I don’t want a debt, but I’m considering that option. West coast is more than 100K, the other problem is that I don’t have family or relatives here just my husband and I’m a mother of 2 girls (9.5 and 5.5 years old) so, I cannot commute far from home. The only friends that I have is the ones that I’ve met in school since I came to the US 3 years ago. I’m screwed. My husband supports me, but he’s the only one working and to be here alone restraints me a lot. I don’t know what to do, I’m lost and kinda bummed these last days. I would appreciate some advise of you guys. Once again, congrats!

El Camino, Compton, Cypress College Spring 2020 nursing application process
Well, the repeat policy at El Camino and Compton doesn’t allow you to take the TEAS once again if you got a passing score in the first attempt... I can tell you because I took my TEAS on July with the hope that in case that I got a low score, so I could repeat the test on September; indeed I had a low score same as you, and when I met with the counselors from El Camino and Compton to get my eligibility package, I let them know that I would be taking the test once again in the last days of September because I was thinking to reprogrammed in The University of Phoenix which had available spots for last days of September. They said, that although I probably would score higher in my second attempt, they only would take my first attempt because I got a passing score. I remember told them that it was much better to fail in the first attempt rather than get a passing grade, but it worst, because if you fail you have to take one year of remedial classes. There are another colleges which allow a second attempt and take the higher one and are less rigorous with that. I think that policy of El Camino and Compton is totally ridiculous, but it’s the policy.
