Tomorrow is the last day of my micro class. It has been intense, to say the least! I can't express the sense of relief I'm going to feel after tomorrow. Also the last day of life-span dev class, and one more week until I'm done with A&P II and that's it for prereqs! Phew! This is the most intense semester I've ever had and I'm SOOOOOO glad it's just about over.
A 15 pages report for your unknown? Yikes. I loved micro; took it this summer between my 2nd and 3rd semester in nursing school. It was 7 weeks. We had an unknown in lab but my report was 5-6 pages, if that.
Yeah, it was a long lab report. We had to do 20 qualitative tests for the unknown bacteria, do the tables on that one, plus special table for similar bacteria to do the comparison. He said that reading of all the tests and conclusion should be at least 3-4 pages, plus the intro, then pathogenicity of your unknown, then tables, then references. I am glad that is out of my way.
I have a question about what you went through in mirco; what content did you touch on. Next semester Ill be taking A&P 2 and Micro many say that the two classes complement each other. Is there anything that you would say that one should start looking at to get a grasp on the subject before the semester starts.

It all seems like such a blur lol. Some of the lab assignments were carbohydrate fermentation, bacterial morphology, observing blood, osmosis, microbes. My particular class did a lot of work on microbes. A lot of being able to identify what kinds of bacteria I was looking at.
I don't know what to tell you study beforehand. Everyone's micro class is different. A&P, you will just learn the systems. Respiratory, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, etc. I'm sure your teacher will go over all of them and their basic functions.

Cheers, I am sitting around worried about my A&P I lab final, would really stink having to retake that course if my grade isn't up to snuff. Meanwhile sitting on straight A's in everything else, including Microbiology... I will still be taking A&P II next semester but I loathe retaking classes, plus it just looks bad.
Grades for A&P Lab I won't be up till monday. wish me luck.
