Hi, I just found out I was accepted to LaSalle's FNP program to start in the fall. Has anyone gone to La Salle for FNP or any other MSN majors? Can you tell me what you thought of it?
Bumping this up. I start at LaSalle end of Aug and will be commuting from the DC area for classes. Does anyone know if clinicals have to be in Philly, or if I can do clinicals down here?

I don't know the answer to your question but I've got to think that a phone call to the office at LaSalle would do the trick.
Let us know how you find the program. I'm very interested in FNP and considered the Widener RN-MSN for second-degree students (I'm an ADN). I decided against that and am instead doing my BSN on-line - it will take about the same amount of time as the bridge courses I'd be required to take but will cost less. I plan to apply to an MSN program once I've completed the BSN (which could be as early as next Dec). I interviewed with the dean at Widner but have yet to talk to anyone at LaSalle or Hahneman/Drexel. Would be good to get input from someone in the program.
Best of luck to you.

So far I have no pro/con comments on the program as I don't start til end of Aug. However it seems fairly easy to get into. My understanding is if you apply early in the year while there are still seats, and you meat the qualifications, you're in. Plus classes start 3 times a year, which is a plus.

hey did you start at LaSalle? I am also looking into their FNP program.... do they setup your clinicals? any info would be great!
Fairy Dust,
Yes I am taking classes at La Salle now. I am not into clinicals yet but my understanding is that they can set them up for you if you are right in/around Philly, or you can set up your own and get them approved. There are some students that drive in from more central PA and I believe they were able to set up their own clinical locally. The program is one of the most affordable I could find. It takes most students 3 years to get through the program, 2 years for general classes and 1 year for clinicals.

Hi christineN,
I will be attending at the end of aug for FNP as well and just wanted to see how you liked it. I am only signed up for 2 classes this semester but am thinking about adding another class to go fulltime and be done in 2 yrs instead of 3. Any information or advice you have about the program would be great. Thanks!!

Just wondering how you ladies are making out. I just started at La Salle, only took one class this semester because I'm due in April. How has it been for you guys so far? Pros/Cons? Any useful tips?

Hey, I know this post was a while ago. I was just wondering how everyone is doing? I just started the program last semester. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks :)
I only took the one class at La Salle, and then I transferred to Villanova. I was not a fan of finding your own clinical placement.
Good Luck!

Did you have to go to a group interview for the program?
