Just wondering if anyone else applied to the Langara Nursing program for the Fall 2022 intake? If so what GPA did you apply with? I'm super demotivated and don't have much hope of getting in since I've heard the fall intake is much more competitive. Let's all help each other out! ?

Thanks!

Hello all,

I will be applying with a 3.96, and I am still not confident, as the program seems to be competitive. Followings are what I am applying with:

- 3 credit of eng (B-)

- 3 credit of eng (A+)

- 4 credit of biology (A)

- 4 credit of biology (A+)

- 3 credit of statistic (A+)

I also have a bachelors degree in engineering, which I hope it makes my application looks better. I am also applying ubc, and as well, but I don't think my chances are high, as I don't really have any medical-related work or volunteer experiences ( I only have general customer services work experiences and geoscience work experiences).  I applied for January intake for BCIT last July, but unfortunately, I was placed on the waitlist.

Yeah... so applying 4 different programs, and hopefully, I could get into one of them...

If not, I am also re-taking one of the english course ( one that I got B-), so that I could increase my chances for the next intakes.

GL for myself and all of you...

I am applying with 3.8. what are the chances 3.8s would get in when the competitive average GPA is going up every semester?

I definitely think you have a great chance!! I was looking back on last years forum thread for the Fall 2021 Langara BSN intake and mostly everyone about 3.7 were accepted and then 3.6 were placed on wait lists… And they received there acceptance or rejection letters mid April-early June! I can’t wait any longer ??

Hi guys,

I'm applying with a 3.67 GPA.

If I remember correctly (and as mentioned by someone else), Langara does not look at your cGPA but instead they look at the latest grades of each of the five classes, which means retakes get replaced by the latest grade. Hope that helps anyone!

That's a good GPA! You have a good chance of getting accepted for sure. Yes, they only look at your latest grades for the 5 pre-requisites and create a GPA out of those. My 5 courses give me a 3.9 GPA.

hey everyone,

Just applied with a 3.86 for the Fall 2022 semester BSN program.

I'm currently an LPN and wondering if any of the other LPNs are applying to the advanced entry program and the regular BSN programs (the advanced entry will be joining the Fall 2022 BSN in January 2023). Do you know if applying to both, the BSN and Advanced Entry BSN programs would affect me getting in? --Like would they be more likely to offer a spot into the regular BSN program over someone who just applied to the Advanced Entry?

Lastly, does the timing of when you submit your application matter when they are selecting us? (I just finished my pre-reqs in December and wasnt sure if I could apply before they were done).

good luck everyone!!

hi! that's a great GPA to apply with ?

I would recommend applying for the advanced entry portion as you already have most of the first year credits and courses completed. With your GPA, you have a great chance of getting into both for sure!

Also, the timing of the application doesn't matter! As long as you get it in between the application date, no matter if it's the first day or the last. But, I would recommend getting it in sooner than later, if possible, as it may take some time to get in some requirements and documents or get them accepted before they can send your application off to the department for review!

good luck ?

Hi guys. Does anyone know if this intake is much more competitive than the last Fall 2021 one?

I emailed admissions and got a reply regarding the timeline for admissions offers to be sent out. They should be sending them out between mid and end of March ?

Does this mean Langara didn’t receive as much applications like the Fall 2021 intake? Since they got their acceptance/rejection letters after 10 weeks or so.

I graduated from SFU majored in psychology. For five pre-requisite courses, I have A for Biology Req. I & II; B for English Req I; B- for English Req II; and A for Statistics Requirement. ?

Hope I can at least get into the waitlist for this semester, and I will try to upgrade my English course...?

Good Luck to everyone!

Hello guys!

I've applied with GPA of 4.066!

2 A&Ps A+

Stat A

English A-

English elective A

I just received a refund of $40 application fee from Langara. I think this means that I got accepted to their program. However, I won't be accepting their offer?.

Isn’t the application fee non-refundable? Bcuz I paid $0 for application fee. So I don’t think this is proven? I can be wrong though
