Hey guy! Just starting up this trend for Langara's January 2021 intake! I applied couple weeks ago, just exciting to see what awaits us. Who else has already applied?

From what I understand, this is my best guess as to what it'll look like for September 2020 and maybe the same for January 2021 (this is just a guess- I don't think much is set in stone yet).
My best guess is that 1109 and 1130 will be completely online because they're just lecture classes.
1163 might be different because you don't go into clinical for the first half of the semester and instead you do some presentations on different health promotion programs so I'm not too sure how the first half of the semester will go. We got to go into our clinical placements in Term 2 in older adult long term care (which is the rotation for the second half of term 1 and the entirety of term 2) so there's a chance you guys will be able to go into clinical but I'm just guessing here.
My clinical instructor is the new 1160 instructor for September 2020 and she said half of the cohort will come during the first half of the class, do their thing, then leave, and the other half will come during the later half of the class, do their thing, then leave. She told us that there's some prep work you have to do before coming in that isn't just readings (it's likely the time you spend in the Nursing Simulation Lab is to practice the skill you learn in the prep work).
Can't wait to meet you all in 2021 ? See you all (virtually) soon !
Congratulations to those of you who are receiving acceptance offers! It will be a crazy journey once you start in January, so make sure you are in the right headspace to enter a tough, but rewarding profession.
I would also second the idea of creating a facebook group amongst yourselves, it really helps with having us higher-term students connect with you.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Good luck!?
I'm on the waitlist with a 3.54 GPA :/ I get this isn't a bad GPA, but apparently Langara has my transferred class credit from bcit (88%) translate to an A- (which I still don't get but w.e) and ik last year 3.6 was the safe average. Anybody thats been on waitlist before, is 3.54 enough to get in off the waitlist or im I screwed this intake because of the pandemic (ie closing of bcit nursing intake until feb 2021)?
