Langara January 2021 intake

Published

Hey guy! Just starting up this trend for Langara's January 2021 intake! I applied couple weeks ago, just exciting to see what awaits us. Who else has already applied?

Hi! I also applied a few weeks ago. I still haven't heard from Langara regarding my application, have you? I called a few weeks ago and they said that if we have not heard back yet it is probably because they are still processing applications for the Sept intake but its been a while now so I'm starting to get a little worried. Cause I thought it was just an automated email that they sent saying they have received our application ...

Hey! Term 1 Student here.

Just check online at the student information system (I think it's called myLangara) for your application. I don't quite remember what it said when I applied but it either says stuff about required documents or that it's been processed. I don't quite remember if they sent an email but myLangara is a good place to go.

Feel free to ask any questions in this thread (a few of us from other terms usually check up on these threads here and there). Checking out the allnurses threads for previous intake years is super helpful for information as well (like the Langara 2020 intakes for January and September).

Good luck out there ! The application process was stressful for all of us but it's worth it. Hope to see you guys next year :))

Hey!! If you don't me asking, what was your GPA when you got accepted? Also, was there a minimum GPA you could identify to get accepted? Thanks a bunch ?

For me, I got in with a 4.07 GPA with no prior degree.

It seems to vary here and there, but Langara's website says the competitive GPA average for our intake was 3.6. I believe there are a few people that got in to our intake with 3.5's and lower, so anything around that and higher is enough. I believe degree holders have priority too. I know a few classmates who were wait listed who got into our program, so just do your best!

Good luck out there! Hope to see you next year ?

Thank you for your reply! I was also wondering about another thing. So I did somewhat of an estimate what GPA I may end up with. Let's say I get 3.668, would they round that up to 3.7? Just curious ?

I don't think they round ! The grades are taken straight from the transcripts.

anyone think this intake will be affected by current circumstances in terms of number of applicants?

Circumstances may be affected, or not at all. Personally, I feel GPA may be lower than the previous intakes. Again, it's just guesses at this point.

Hi guys!

If any current nursing students in the program happen to stumble on this post, I was just wondering if there was anything you wish you knew before applying to the program and/or during the application process, as well as if u have any tips or such sorts that you would like to share! It would be very much appreciated :).

To everyone applying to this intake, good luck! (You got this ?)
