Hi guys!!
I’ll be applying after I complete Bio 1191. What GPA will you guys be applying with? Also, how do you guys know that the upcoming intake will not prioritize degree holders?

thanks ?

I'll be applying with a 3.67. Not too sure about my chances since they said the competitive GPA last year was 3.7. I was at the info session yesterday and they seemed to keep dodging the question about degree holder prioritization, however, they did mention that how they evaluate those with degrees this year is different than last year.

I was also in the info session last night.  I asked about the degree holders in the chat, and Adrien said that they will be held to the same GPA requirements and competition.  I think that means that if you've got a 3.7 and a degree holder has a 3.6 - you'd get the spot, but if you both had a 3.6 then preference could be given to the degree holder.

Hey everyone, applied and just finishing my 1191 now at Langara so my application is pending that. Whats the GPA everyone applied with, I applied with a 3.4 (I know its not bad but a lot of previous intakes people are at 3.6+) I know a lot of people that have gotten into the program with less or waitlisted and added so just wanted to see what everyone’s GPA’s are? Good luck to everyone!!

You can apply without the final grade if you are taking it at langara. I applied on the first day of applications and my status is requirements in progress then langara updates it automatically when final grades come in. Good luck. :)

Even if you are not taking it at Langara you can still apply without the final grade. You just have to send the transcript again when you get the final grade. That’s what I did. ?

oh what!! thanks so much for letting me know.

Hey guys!

I am also applying to Langara Sept 2021 intake. I just finished my pre-reqs. My cgpa is 3.8 (no degree). Good luck to all of us!!

Hi everyone!

I applied to the Sept 2021 intake. I have a 3.67 GPA and no degree. I'm excited to have finally finished my prerequisites but I'm worried about my GPA being too low. A lot of people seem to be higher so I might retake a course. Either way, I wish everyone the best and hope we get in!!

anyone know if an e-trancript is used to apply or a regular one?

Not sure but I would call Langara admissions as soon as possible, their hours are 9 am - 5 pm PST

Hi everyone,

I just applied! Is there anyone willing to help me calculate my admission GPA? I contacted Langara and they were of no help. I took my courses at UBC and any help would be incredibly appreciated.

biol 153 (equiv to biol 1190 and 1191): 78
stat 203 (equiv to 1124): 84
wrds 150 (equiv to first English req): 89
engl 110 (equiv to second English req): 90

They're kinda low in comparison to other intakes...so I'm anxious about whether I should have waited an intake to apply. I know it is an 83.1% or 3.85 GPA on a 4.33 scale at UBC but I've heard Langara weighs it differently. Thank you in advance!
