I had some previous courses from Langara and did the rest from Douglas and sent in  the transcript in December, they evaluated my profile before the transcript was submitted and they emailed me I am rejected ? but then I emailed them and they said I don't have to worry once they receive the transcript they'll re-evaluate and change the status in 10 business days but may take longer

Hey, same thing happened to me! Did they change the status for you yet? I sent mine in on December 23rd but nothing's changed yet, not even a date received on the program checklist tab ?

Hey

My status changed couple of days ago and I yesterday got an email saying my application is complete. I sent my transcripts in December as well but my school was closed till the 1st Jan, so it might have taken longer to get there.

Has anyone else's status not been updated or they haven't heard anything from Langara about their application? I applied January 6 and still no updates.

I applied the first week that applications were open, which was the first week of October. They recieved my transcript on Oct. 23 (since I applied from Langara they already had mine). Then I got an email on Dec. 14 that said my application was complete, so it takes a while

Hi guys,

if my application says it's "complete" does that mean I have submitted everything required for the program checklist and now I just have to wait on an acceptance or decline?

Would Langara notify you if you were missing documents? or is that our responsibility to find out?

I think you now just wait for an acceptance/decline. I was missing my application fee and they notified me pretty quickly. Admissions did tell me that this intake had an unprecedented volume of applications and inquiries so things will take time to update.

@alisondoowradec  Okay thank you, that makes me feel better! of course not the unprecedented volume of applications part..that's going to make the wait more nerve-racking. ?

So I was looking at Fall 2020 and looks like acceptance goes out around Mid-End of March! Im so nervous and anxious!

With what GPA did everyone apply? I applied with a 3.5 but redoing my English's now as they where my lowest grades!

Good Luck Everyone!!

So kind of you! What term are you currently on and how is the class schedule right now? What has been the most challenging thing about nursing school thus far?

im currently in term 4/9 and the schedule has been mon-fri since term 2 (fridays off in term 1). lab on mon, clinical on tue/wed, zoom classes thurs/fri.
the most challenging thing about nursing school so far are the brutal time limits on our *online* exams because of covid to protect academic integrity.

also term 3 and 4 are known to be big jumps and our scope of practice as SNs increases so much it is sometimes overwhelming but exciting!

Hi Tapioca!

That sounds intense! I hope that online exams won't be conducted for our intake given that we should all be vaccinated by that time.

How do you like the program so far and are the clinical super intense?

What do the labs consist of and is pathophysiology as hard as they say it is?

I hear the course load is really heavy. Do you find this to be true?

Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy schedule and helping us hopefuls get a better understanding of what we can expect as a student nurse!

Best wishes,

K
