Hi. I am very interested in the accelerated ASN program at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. Can anyone give me any information on this program? I've seen the information that is available online. However, I am looking for information from experienced insiders such as: getting accepted, true level of difficulty, etc. This will be a major career change for me, and I do not want to make a bad decision. I have a 3.6 gpa from SLU w/ AA in OSH and BA in Gen Studies. I consider myself a capable, hard working student but all I have heard is HORROR stories.
Thanks!
I could be wrong but I don't think the Accelerated BSN is intended for people who already have a BS degree. I think it is accelerated for a person that doesn't have any degree, instead of it taking them 4 or so years to get a BSN they can do it in 3.5.
@fumanchuesday- Did you ever hear anything else....
Exactly. The Accelerated BSN is for people without a bachelors degree. They are getting rid of any accelerated program for people with bachelors.
Funman- OMG! I'm so happy for you! So you're in at East Jeff? The start date is August 22nd, mandatory orientation July 13. I completely forgot about them pharm notes, let me know if anyone of u get them. This has been a long time coming, for all of us.
Lynn- we all in this together, regardless of location!

I completely agree. I'm not really concerned about getting a BSN, but if I was, I would be going to Southeastern because I have almost all of their pre-reqs done and it's only 18 months. 3.5 is not nearly accelerated.
