hello All,
I'm coming here in hopes of getting some responses, opinions and just thoughts on Laboure College's nursing program. Or if you know of someone who recently attended Laboure and graduated. Unfortunately, all the comments on here are so old.
I'm curious to know..
How is the program? academic-wise, clinical-wise and in general.. the school's atmosphere. Student/Teacher ratio etc..
Are students getting jobs post-graduation anywhere, not specifically hospitals?
I know it's an ADN program.. are students continuing to the BSN program there or elsewhere??
Anything..........
I'm trying to help a friend out who has been struggling to get into a program and was finally accepted there but with reading reviews on here, seems like a lot of students don't really have anything good to say about it. They've been around for so long, 120yrs, I thought that was a good sign.. but maybe not.
again.... if someone has attended/graduated or knows someone, please let me know.
Thx
much appreciated!!
Well I called the school today again, and the lady told me that a letter was mailed out to me. When i asked if it was a denial or acceptance letter she said she didn't know. Already i assume it may be a letter of denial. I don't want to think the wrost, but a package and letter is very obvious. I will wait and see.
Don't think a letter means denial! My acceptance letter (from Quincy) was a one page letter. We got our packet mailed out a few weeks later to bring to our doctors and orientation. Good luck!
I submitted transcripts from other schools I've attended in the past. My cumulative GPA meets the requirement...I just don't know. The feeling I am experiencing is a bit fuzzy maybe because a response was already made so quick. I will just Pray about it and let it be until the letter comes in the mail.
When I was accepted back in 2012 they told me within a week that I was able to sit for the accuplacer. You need certain scores to get into general education classes, I did thank god! Just take your time and read the questions because you do not want to take the HCOP classes. I am currently in my 3rd nursing class, maternity and pedi. I have had a great experience at Laboure. I am registering for my last semester in two weeks, I can't believe it. Good luck everyone!! Oh and it is expensive but I believe it will be WELL worth it in the long run. Don't let the price ruin it for you.
