LA Pierce College Spring 2021

Published

Hello! I applied for the Fall 2020 cycle at Pierce, unfortunatlly due to the coronavirus the TEAS test was cancelled. I just wanted for people going through the same thing and for new applicants to have a place for to discuss their application process. How's everyone’s doing?

So exciting! Have you heard back from them yet?

Not yet but I’m sure we’ll start to hear back next week as everyone starts to send in that form

Yeah that’s what I figured. Sounds good to me!

Anyone else hear anything?

I sent them my intent to attend ( signed form) & they replied yesterday. but just acknowledging they received it. I’m assuming they’ll send an info packet soon about orientation etc? LOL

All I’ve gotten is an email saying,

”Hello Amber,

We look forward to meeting you on the first day of class!”

Regards,

Los Angeles Pierce Department of Nursing

I received the same email essentially. I know someone currently in the program. Our orientation should be in January and the semester should start in February according to her. I’m sure it will be on zoom. Not sure when we will receive more info though. Maybe later this month.

That’s good to know! Hopefully we get information within the next few weeks so we can start on our titers and bloodwork and all of that stuff.

There’s is some info on the pierce website with their nursing handbook on what they need for tiers and vaccinations. I’m not sure what will change with covid in regard to the fire card and other requirements. But yes hopefully we’re given enough time to complete everything. I think we need a physical and dental check up as well.

Are you going to get started on everything or wait until orientation?

I’m only afraid of doing it too early and doing something wrong. I’m sure there’s something doctors need to fill out and sign. So I’ll probably just wait until we receive more info.

Hey guys,

I’m going into second semester at LAPC and get started on the appt makings and vaccines physicals And all now, they good for 3 months so if you start now it’s fine. You’ll need a dental exam too so try to make that appt also. You guys can email or message me here if there are any questions. Congratulations to all of you! First semester is hard but doable !
