Hello! I applied for the Fall 2020 cycle at Pierce. I just wanted to have a place to discuss it and also to see how everyone’s application process is going.

I didn’t apply to the other ones I wanted too because their applications require you to include extracurriculars like volunteering or experience in the healthcare area, which I don’t have yet. This really confuses me because they do a point system for their application based on certain grades and volunteering/experience when their application process is literary? ? it is my first time applying to any nursing program.
Hi @JVBO! I helped my hubby & am helping a friend with their applications. The extra curriculars aren't required, so don't let that stop you! It's just another way to improve your chances.
The point system is just another way of determining eligibility to go into the lottery system.
Any questions and I'd be happy to try to help. I actually considered going to school to be an academic counselor for a second just to help nursing students navigate the process because it can be a lot!
