Hello! I applied for the Fall 2020 cycle at Pierce. I just wanted to have a place to discuss it and also to see how everyone’s application process is going.

hello! I also applied for the fall 2020 cycle. I am not too crazy about the whole lottery selection process, so I applied to GCC, LACON, and plan on applying to PCC and LAVC once their application opens up.

I’ve only applied to LACP I’m planning on applying to LAVC tho when they open up their applications. I’m also really stressed out about lottery. I just don’t believe it. Any thoughts?

Nice man. I’ve only applied to LAPC. I’m planning on applying to LAVC also. I didn’t apply to the other ones I wanted too because their applications require you to include extracurriculars like volunteering or experience in the healthcare area, which I don’t have yet. This really confuses me because they do a point system for their application based on certain grades and volunteering/experience when their application process is literary? ? it is my first time applying to any nursing program.

Hey all,

New to this but in the same boat as many of you. I have so far applied to both LAPC and GCC. Next will be PCC and LAVC. Any recommendations on others that have a similar application? I know some like LACC want TEAS VI completed before their application deadline unlike the others. I’m studying for it currently and don’t want to rush into it since their deadline is March 27th. Any thoughts?Good Luck to us all!!

I also havent taken my TEAS yet, I'm currently studying for it RN. feel pretty good about it, but English is my worst section, keep getting 70-75% on it. Hoping to just do well on the other sections cuz I hate all the rules for English.

Ya, been studying too. I even have an ati TEAS app that I use everyday if I’m out running errands or working that I use that really helps too.
