Hey Everyone ,
I just received an offer from LA General, I haven't gotten the details pertaining to start date but I believe it will be in April from what I was told during my interview. I want to connect with anybody else that is set to start here keep each other updated!
CHS said:Hey! By any chance what floor are you interviewing for? I was going to call to ask if they still had interview slots by any chance.
yes it was for a med-surg/tele position. When I called to schedule an interview, they said I was the last one to get an interview spot. I think they were scheduling multiple people and they said first come, first serve. I would call them from time to time for any updated open positions!! But yes the hiring freeze is still continuing
Avylind said:Yeah ofc!! Does anyone else have any updates abt the freeze? Bc like I got an ER position and Ik they need nurses there so like huh? 😭
Hey! Not sure why but I'm unable to pm you. I got this message "You are only allowed to send 0 messages per day. Please try again later." Was wondering if you can try pm-ing me? Thank you so much!!

Hi! When did you send in your application? I was about to set up interviews when the freeze occurred a month ago, and I haven't been contacted yet, so was just curious if they're going in order of applications received. I think I put my applications in mid-July sometime.

Hey I think I sent in my app like 5 months ago. But they made me choose 4-5 departments. I remember someone telling me that the order of apps doesn't matter, and that they're going by the departments you put down and your resume?

In mid July, I accepted and completed my live scan for H-UCLA, but I haven't been able to do anything since then 😭

I'm in a similar boat for a different location. Completed live scan in June and have been waiting on the physical ever since. The HR call center said that a PAR was submitted in July and it normally would be assigned to an HR analyst to move along by now, but I guess since the hiring freeze they have no idea how long the process will take, since it needs higher approvals for budget purposes

I just heard tho that for nursing, the hiring freeze is supposed to be lifted either in OCT or JAN due to budget being renewed & the fact that they need more nurses for flu season. So I'm trying to stay hopeful that I will start in Nov
Any news on the hiring freeze?
I just submitted completed the personality assessment, and from this thread I should expect results in less than a week, hopefully sooner... and then I should email those results, along with employment stuffs like Resume, license, results, etc. to the recruitment email listed in this thread?
Anything else I should be on the lookout for? I am aiming for ED work (Med/Sure/Tele) LOL

So currently they are hiring in positions that are needed such as RNs. So they working on lifting the freeze only in those positions and according to what units need the most nurses. So it's heard.
