LA County College of Nursing LVN-RN Summer 2014

Hello everyone!

I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied to the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the LVN-RN bridge Summer 2014 cohort. I took the TEAS V on 2/22/14 and I passed with the 5 bonus points! Yay! This is the only school I want to go to and really hope I get in otherwise I have to wait another semester since this is the ONLY school I applied to! yikes! So I am anxiously waiting for the acceptance letters to be sent out in mid-April! I am a little nervous since I have not worked as an LVN so I hope that my schooling has prepared me enough for this program! We will see!

I hope so too, just got today tomorrow and Saturday!! It's just not a good sign :(

Well, let me just tell you....everyone on here (the generics post) had received their TEAS invite. I had not received mine in the mail. Several days after that, i called and they said i was invited for the teas and should have received something. They put another one in the mail. Several more days went by, nothing. I called again, same thing. Took a 3rd phone call and i finally had received it.

I would suggest at this point calling and saying you are out of town so wont have access to your mailbox. Find out if you are accepted or not. If there is a deadline to accept, you dont want to miss it due to the mail issue.

Better just to call and know the answer rather than sit and wonder.

your ur right, I am going to give them a call as soon as they open to find out. Mail can always get lost, and at this point it's better to find out right off on the spot

Exactly. Im a "lets get to the point" kind of person. I would rather hear "no" than nothing at all! Goooood luck!!!

Summer 2014, I just replied to your pm but I will put it on here too so people know. I called county and the woman I spoke to said the point cut off was 76. So you should definitely get in. St first she thought I hadn't received any notification and sounded surprised so if you don't get anything today I would call to make sure it didn't get lost in the mail.

Hi everyone, so I just called and they said they are still going through a few applications. She also said by the first week of May we should get acceptance or rejection letters. That's good news because I hate not knowing.

Does that mean this week or next week because today is May 1st!! Oh man they are so behind. I wonder if there is some kind of order they are going through them like alphabetically or by points, I don't know! Well I will keep checking in to see if anyone else has news.

I called in this morning because I'm concerned, and rather know off the bat if I got in or not. Lady did explain the cut off points and also told me they were still reviewing and making decisions.

That made me feel a little better. But didn't get an answer as to wether I was accepted or not.

I was told the samething too this morning, and she stated they we're still reviewing and sending letters out.
