Hello everyone!
I wanted to start a thread for those of us who applied to the Los Angeles County College of Nursing and Allied Health for the LVN-RN bridge Summer 2014 cohort. I took the TEAS V on 2/22/14 and I passed with the 5 bonus points! Yay! This is the only school I want to go to and really hope I get in otherwise I have to wait another semester since this is the ONLY school I applied to! yikes! So I am anxiously waiting for the acceptance letters to be sent out in mid-April! I am a little nervous since I have not worked as an LVN so I hope that my schooling has prepared me enough for this program! We will see!
That's wonderful news! Congratulations! So I gave decided if I do get accepted I will go this year instead of waiting. I have so many questions for you.1. Do you know if they have started notifying people yet about acceptance?
2. Do you know what the point cut off is?
3. What is the schedule like for the summer?
4. What are clinicals like? (instructors, staff, etc.)
5. What clinical site did you go to?
Thank you so much slicksgirl for the info and congrats again!

registration was very informative. They basically went over skills check off, financial aid and gave us a bunch of paperwork regarding live scan, health clearance, etc. Then we had a tour of the campus. The only class different for LVNs is the summer transition that is 5 weeks long then we go into the 3rd semester as the generic RN program. Although LVNs have the option to challenge some classes by taking a test then they don't have to take the class. Don't worry your questions are not stupid!
