LA County College of Nursing & Allied Health Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi. I created this thread for those applying to LA County College of Nursing & Allied Health for the Spring of 2019. The online application opened up today (7/1/18) on their website. Is anyone else having trouble adding a College selection on the Education portion of it? I have also reserved a seat for their information workshop on July 3rd at 4pm. Anyone else attending??

Mid December?! I know they will have to notify us at least by the end of the year.

I hate waiting...

Urgh me too! Mid December is crazy since all these other schools have started notifying people!

Not I either but I've heard it can extend til mid December

Did you speak to someone in the office that said that?

I spoke to My cousin who goes to the college. Said she didn't get her notice til December

My friend goes too and was notified in November. I'm thinking we need to just call because I'm sure it's a little different every year.

I called yesterday. They said notifications will go out next week and the cutoff was 80 points.

This is great news all around!

Oh man I'm so Nervous. I think my score is 80pts

Fingers crossed!

Hi I applied as well this makes me so sad because I think I only have 77 pts I would've h had 80 but am in the process of taking developmental psych :/ does anyone know any thing about alternates and how low their points can be and if they take a lot of students?

The class will start with about 50 enrolled students. The point spread for each application cycle is different, so anything is possible. For the waitlist, I suspect that anything lower than 2 point off the cutoff will have a hard time getting a seat. Retake classes and keep applying if you do not get in. Getting 80+ points is the name of the game if you want the amazing lacconah clinical experience. Good luck and get some sleep.

Great info. I got into CSUN's ABSN program today so I'll be giving up my spot once it is officially offered (I had 88 points). Hope it goes to one of you!
