there was so many people, impossible to make an impression on anyone and very little hospitals stating they had positions for new grads... Yeah the only thing beneficial was getting some info on a few of the new grad programs... I took TONS of resumes and ended up giving out one.
me too, just gave 1 resume.. that's bad but hopefully that those facilities open for new grads will accept us
Went to an event identical to this in LA earlier this year. Huge waste of time.
I don't even bother going anymore because you can get the same info from their website: "No New Grads and please have 1 year of clinical experience."
With so many people flooding these events, making an impression on even one potential employer is impossible. You are better off sending a stack of 100's in an envelope directly to the recruiter
I went and it was very claustrophobic. Way too many people for the little room that they booked it in. TONS OF NEW GRADS AND STUDENTS!! It seemed like the recruiters were looking for experienced people but got more new grads and students participating then anyone else. I flew down from Las Vegas brought lots of resumes and gave out I think just two. I just wanted to see what the job market looked like there. If you already have a job and experience why would you want to attend a job fair anyway? Hold on to it because us new grads can't even get an opportunity to try!
