Knock, knock, where are the A&P 1 students

Published

Just want to check in with y'all....how is everyone, I suspect completely emerged into studying. I have been studying and studying and studying some more. The muscle monster might just get me in the end:chair: .....I am so overwhelmed with the lecture and lab portion. Last day to drop was yesterday and we are only 2 students left. It's been a nightmare to be in that class. I just need to find the strength to make it to the finish line.....:uhoh3:

I hope everyone is in good health and safe.

Gimme a pulse :chuckle

Hey! I cant wait for a&p to be OVER! I am studing the brain right now-which I just about have down. I am so burned out of studying for anything at this point! The break before a&p 2 will be wonderful!

Specializes in start in NICU 7/14/08.

have the muscle test this week, then the nervous system/brain combined with the cumulative final in 4 weeks. 1 lab practical left in between those 2 tests.

i got burned out on the skeletal system, but i have renewed energy / interest with the muscles. i'm so glad to be getting into more physiology - seemed like everything thus far has been more anatomy. i really love this class - it's so interesting and my prof is really informative.

i'm excited for the break but also looking forward to a&p 2 and nursing school itself! i'll be so glad when the last 2 pre-reqs are done!!!

goodluck to everyone else...i suspect this is the final countdown for most of us. :)

oh my god! headache 2 here! i have my 3rd exam for microbiology on tuesday and then another exam for zoology on wednesday! i don't know you guys, but i'll try my very best AGAIN. :) good luck to all of you!

Present and accounted for here! :D I'm procrastinating studying right now. I absolutely LOVE A&P, but I'm so burned out on studying!

We're on the CNS & PNS right now. Just have a final left in lab and one exam plus a final left in lecture. Last day of our semester is 12/15.

Registration for Spring semester was last week. My current lab instructor will be teaching A&P 2 lab next semester, and I was able to get into the class. I'm very excited! He's the coolest! :)

A&P 1 here too. I took my bones lab test and I got a 91!!!!!

Now onto muscles and nerves. I do have a lecture test on brain and nerves tomorrow. I do like A&P so far, I do like my professors and I do find it interesting.

Here, here, here :rotfl:

I'm so burned out with studying too :uhoh3: We only have 3 long quizzes and a mini-practicum finals for the lab. I'm just soooo over with AP1 :rotfl:

AP2 starts first week of Jan, I heard it's a little easier..we'll shall wait and see. Good luck all!

Specializes in PeriOp, ICU, PICU, NICU.

I can't wait for my A&P II to be over. I prefer the muscles and bones and organ systems for the first part.................I think the holidays are getting to me.

Hang in there everyone. :)

I am so dreading micro next semester. I have heard some wild stories about it. I guess I am more worried of taking it together with nursing 100 and in the winter-mester.

Any pointers to do well in that class? :)

Here, but buried under A&P book! If the muscles don't get me, the neurons will! Test Tuesday on muscle function, nervous system and spinal cord - agghhhhhh!

I'm very excited for A&PI to be over. I still have an A, but the work is killing me.Just have the nervous system and special senses left... Whew. Then on to A&PII....:uhoh21: Eek.

Biggest pointer I can give you for Micro. is to buy the Microbiology Coloring Book! It helped me A LOT (much more than the A&P one has)! Micro. was not at all as interesting to me as A&P is. I kept telling myself, "WHY do I need to know what color the agar changes to with certain bacteria? I'm not studying to be a lab tech!" :uhoh3: The class requires just as much studying as A&P, but it's not as much memorization. I managed to get "A's" in lecture and lab. If I can do it (being a FT working mom/PT student), ANYONE can do it!
