assisting in major minor surgeries and assisting in deliveries are one of our requirements in nursing school in Philippines[/quote']I understand that But it's not required in US nursing schools, nor are these cases completed 3 years ago overseas relevant to current US practice. It's not really beneficial to include in your resume, especially if a recruiter not familiar with Filipino nursing programs.
Again student skills from more than 6-12 months ago are not current nor relevant to a current resume. You are out of practice and would likely have more of a chance if you complete a refresher course plus have the opportunity to meet nursing professionals and possibly secure current recommendations to your present ability to practice nursing.
thanks! my license is from texas not ca... we cannot take the exam in ca because of the concurrency issue with foreign grads thats one of the reason why there's a large gap between my graduation and licensure
You have CA listed as your state of licensure in your sample resume. Check the TX BoN for TX refresher classes. If you are not located in TX you have a license valid only in TX and if you apply with a CA address that will be an additional barrier as TX employers likely looking for potential employees who are local.
Hence why IEN are recommended to apply for licensing in the state where they wish to live & work.
