Kentucky Weather

Published

I was born and raised here but for goodness sakes last Friday when I got up it was 80 and Sunny (summer), That night Severe Thunderstorms with Tornadoes (Spring). The next day cold and cloudy (autumn), and the next night and morning sleet and then snow (winter). I love it but it drives me crazy. Never know what to wear, if I need an umbrella or a coat, etc. I was supposed to go to Ichthus this weekend, the Christian rock festival in Wilmore but that fell through. I can't imagine all of this weather and trying to camp in all of that. Maybe next year.

A friend of mine's teenage daughter went to Ichthus this weekend, and all of the kids in her group ended up having to have their parents come and get them. Their tent got all flooded and they had no where to sleep, and so I guess in the middle of the night they had to have their parents come and get them.

I went to that festival once, as a teenager. I *FRIED* in the sun all day, and then that night it rained =), and we also got flooded out and spent the night in a van. It was a miserable weekend for me; I wasn't even much into Christian music, but most of the kids in my youth group were VERY much into it.

There are a few groups/performers that I absolutely love. Micheal W. Smith, Switchfoot, and others. I went last year with my youth group on Saturday and the mud was 4-5 inches deep.

Didn't know Switchfoot was a Christian group. =) I guess they kinda had a "crossover" hit with that song "Dare You To Move".

I like what I've heard from the group Jars Of Clay, and there's other songs from other groups that I like, I guess. There's a group of guys from here in Lawrenceburg called Poor Man's Riches, and I hear that they have made it pretty big. They were at Ichthus last year, I believe. Every other car in Lawrenceburg has one of their decals on it. =)

You know the other day I woke up to a good ole Texas thunderstorm and went back to sleep. A couple hours later I got up to get ready for work and looked out and it was snowing.....I never know around this joint!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
