Hi there,
I just wanted to start a thread for anyone who is in the Kentucky Board of Nursing's KARE program. I thought this would be a good place to share/exchange info and lend some support to one another!
I just posted recently but I had another question y'all may be able to answer. So February 6th 2023 is the one year mark being in the KARE program consequently ends my contract or whatever with them. What will that look like? I'm sure we discussed in the beginning but a lot of time has passed and a lot has happened in my life so I can't quite recall. Will affinity give me a message or certificate of completion? Should my case manager message me? Is there exit interview? Should message her close to that date and ask the next steps? TIA

Yes I would go ahead and ask what happens next. But I think there will be some formal exit interview along with you signing something that says your no longer bound to your KARE contract. You'd like to think it'd be as "formal" as one could imagine but honestly I think they'll say you're done.. and you'll be done. Congrats
Hey all, so I got selected for testing today (I'm in KARE with the KBON), and the panel it gave was O-789373 + O-788890. I've never had two panels on there. When I look up the 788890, it's on lab corp's website as specimen validity testing. I know they do this with our samples, so maybe they've just started making it a separate code? Wondering if anybody else has gotten this two panel thing? TIA!

I have gotten it twice. I usually get A- 763829. But I'm 6 months in and waiting to have to pay for a blood test since I've been pretty lucky to have gotten cheaper options thus far ?

So I'm coming up on the end of sentence with the KARE program. I only had to do a year and my year is up February 6th 2023. I missed a check in yesterday. Which 1 of 2 in the whole year. I didn't miss a drug test though and I am sure of because I can only be tested twice in one month and have already been tested twice for January. The first check in I miss I messaged my case manager. She said that missing a check in puts you at risk for missing a drug test which makes you no compliant. Do I bring up this second missed check in with her? What do y'all think? Am I okay? You think this will mess anything up. I'm gonna be so upset if it does. I'm a week from being done.
