  1. I've never heard of this happening, I'm sorry! At least in my area we don't even go to HR. We've had so many KARE nurses we just know the stipulations. The only one that really has to be worked around is not being the only nurse in the building.
  2. I'm in Louisville too! I'm at Fresenius. DM me and I'll send you some req numbers for positions in my area ?
  3. I'm currently in dialysis! I completed KARE last August but they hired me when I was just 6 months into it. I'm the clinical manager now and I know we would hire you! Where are you located?
  4. No problem! If you're willing to work as an RN instead of an NP I know dialysis will hire you! I work at a dialysis company and am now in management and I was hired 2 years into my KARE contract.
  5. Hi! I just completed the KARE program in August! Personally, I would go with KARE. You said your probation would be 4 years so it's only 1 more year. For the confidentiality, it's not considered disciplinary action (so you can mark no on that question on every job application), and it disappears once you complete it. The day I was done I looked up my license and there were no reports or anything and I was back to a multi state license. Now I can go into any job interview without worrying when the look up my license or having to explain, for example, a disciplinary action from 6 years ago that I completed monitoring for. Just my two cents!
  6. Anyone familiar with panel O-764680? Yet another new one that's showed up and it's $78 ?
  7. Curious if you ever found out anything about the O-722099 panel? I got selected for it for the first time and just wondering what it could be?
  8. Anybody know what O-722099 is?
  9. Anybody gotten "value out of range" for their SVT results? My most recent test just came back with this and my urine was super light so I kinda figured it might happen. I only had one other dilute and it was 4 years ago right after I started KARE. Anyone had 2 while they were in the program? If so what happened after the 2nd one?
  10. Did you ever find out what that panel was? I got selected for it too.
  11. Anyone been randomly picked for a blood test? Like with no abnormal urine results, complaints, work issues, etc that triggered it?
  12. Not sure what's on it exactly but I do know it doesn't included amphetamines because I take a prescription and that panel always comes back negative for me.
  13. Have you gotten it every time you're selected? And is the second one always the 788890 one?
  14. Hey all, so I got selected for testing today (I'm in KARE with the KBON), and the panel it gave was O-789373 + O-788890. I've never had two panels on there. When I look up the 788890, it's on lab corp's website as specimen validity testing. I know they do this with our samples, so maybe they've just started making it a separate code? Wondering if anybody else has gotten this two panel thing? TIA!
  15. Looking for anyone who might’ve had a similar experience with KARE/the KBN. One of my UDS came back positive for etg. I had not drank but was sick on and off most of august and taking day/nightquil. I explained this to my CM when she called about the UDS. Regardless the board slapped a cease practice on me and ordered another substance abuse eval. The day following my conversation with my CM she emails me informing me that “due to your denial of alcohol ingestion, you’ve been ordered a blood PEth test today through affinity.” So $168 and two days later the PEth test came back negative (aligning with my statement that I had not drank alcohol). My CM let’s me know that regardless of this negative result, my cease practice remains in effect until I get the substance abuse evaluation. The “guilty until proven innocent” mindset is extremely frustrating and belittling. Anywho, the only “answer” I’ve received from my CM is that she’ll contact me once she gets a copy of the evaluation and we’ll “discuss the evaluator’s recommendations for you to return to work”. If anyone has experienced something similar what ended up being the evaluators recommendations and did the board make you wait any amount of time before returning to work? I’m an ANM at an extremely understaffed clinic and would like to return to my staff and patients! TIA ?
