Kennesaw State University Fall 2015

Is anyone planning on applying to KSU for Fall 2015?

Hey, everyone! Was just wondering are there interviews this year like some past years? Or no?

No more interviews.

I spoke to KSU today and they said decesions on Fall 2015 Acceptance would be announced via US Mail in "April or May". Most other school (GA Regents, UNG, Mercer,......) announced acceptances as early as December 2014. Is anyone aware of a problem at KSU that is causing a delay? I know they would want to announce before Maymester if the could so they must be having a problem with something.

May??? Wow! I have no idea what could cause the delay except, maybe, the large number of applicants.

I applied in early Janurary and still haven't even been accepted to KSU yet! They said they have a large number of applicants to the school alone.

I applied to KSUs Nursing school (BSN) last year and they were seriously the last school I heard back from. If I remember correctly I did not hear from them until the 2nd or 3rd week of April. I would of considered it if I had heard back from them before that..

Kennesaw is basically my last shot. I was denied from USF (my dream school), wait listed for UCF, and now this. It's depressing me. It's like all I've wanted to be was a nurse and they won't let me. How twisted is that? Because I'm not close to perfect. It's outrageous. They say we have a shortage of nurses but yet they turn people away. Get it together my God

Don't mean to argue but schools can only accept so many students due to faculty numbers and clinical spots available. With that being said, it is in your best interest to do your best on everything to show you deserve one of those spots as well as how committed you are to becoming a nurse. So unless you have a 4.0 and a perfect score on the teas or Hesi then I would not complain

Hi everyone! I have never applied to a nursing program before, KSU is my first, but with the application deadline for Fall being January 31st, so basically February 1st they started reviewing applications, is mid April really considered a long time to wait when they have 600 + applications to look through? I am honestly just curious since, like I said, I have no prior experience with this wait game! Shouldn't be long now; although, I'm SO sure that mine will be a denial letter, that I have already paid to retake my TEAS the end of June to reapply for Spring 2016! I submitted a 72 TEAS, but figured I may as well apply-I mean I paid to take it and have a 3.97 GPA in math and sciences, and 3.84 overall, I just didn't study for the TEAS, like a dummy. Good luck everyone!

I get what you're saying. Not complaining just venting frustration.

who knows maybe you won't get denied! Still hope for the best @avaughn3

Thanks! And I sort of am, @Alerrya. I can cancel and get a refund for the TEAS up till 3 days before. It's an "expect the worst, hope for the best" thing right now seeing others TEAS scores. It will happen when it is meant to happen for me. I have waited 17 years for the opportunity to be an RN (I have been a MA since 1998 in pediatrics and have a special needs child who is now well enough for me to pursue my life long goal!) What's another 6 months or so if I don't get in now?! :)
