Does anyone know how many people will be accepted into the traditional BSN program this fall?

As far as I know they accept 80 traditional and 40 accelerated. When I was told this I nearly had an anxiety attack haha :)

Thanks for the info! Yea, I definitely thought it was more it seems like that's on the low side compared to other nursing programs. Oh well--all we can do is wait at this point :)

Ha @RN2BE0630, I'm right there with you preparing for my denial letter. Maybe we'll get in! But with my math/science Bs (plural) I'm thinking I'm going to need to apply again next semester. I've tried so hard not to think about it for the past few months, but I think April is going to be killer to get through wondering when we'll find out. Good luck everyone!

80 into traditional? That's really high competition. They're going to try to send letters out the week of April 20th. God bless

Do you think they look at your overall GPA or just the major requirements GPA??

I went to the group advisement that was recently offered, and was told that they look at the following 4 things:

* Cumulative GPA (any transfer credits + credits earned at KSU)

* Teas score

* Best 5 out of 7 Math and Sciences

* Best 7 out of 12 Prerequisites

Miscalculated my GPA before my transcripts were updated from fall semester...pleasantly surprised to have a 3.87. Hope that makes a difference! Can't believe after all this time we will know in a matter of days! Good luck all! :up:

A matter of days? That is comforting. Did you talk to them about when they hope to send out decisions? I have to make deposits for other schools by April 27th and Kennesaw is my first choice. I have been stressing about what to do

I was told mid-late April. So, I would suspect in the next few weeks. Sorry, I guess I should have said weeks instead of days. I have been waiting so long that is seems surreal to be this close. I can certainly relate...it is incredibly stressful for your future to be in such limbo. I would like to think that you would hear back before the 27th. :)

Cumulative GPA as in all college courses you've ever taken? I have a bachelor's in marketing so I've taken a ton of unrelated courses. Wonder if that's part of what they look at?? Or just what's required for this degree??
