Published

Anyone else out there applying to KSU's nursing program for Spring admission? Post your stats and whether you are applying for accelerated or traditional. I just submitted my application for traditional.

My stats are:

Overall GPA: 4.0

5/7 GPA: 4.0

7/12 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 88%

Competitive Score: 87.6/90

****Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4)

Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4)

Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation)

TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100

This gives you your competitive score

This is the week! I can feel it! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

I sure hope so! Good luck to all!

I just got off the phone with KSU. Notifications begin to go out this week. She did not specify in what manner we would be informed, nor did she state which students were notified first, either accepted or rejected, or whether all applicants are notified simultaneously. The lady on the phone also mentioned that all notifications must be sent prior to the third week in October. Thus, although notifications begin to go out this week, some students may not receive it before the second week in October.

It is my daughters Fall Break; my husband and I decided to bring the kids to the beach for a few days ( my first vacation since beginning school, three years ago). Needless to say, anticipation and anxiety beset me as I await my fate, making this beach trip less enjoyable; and I am certain my husband wishes I would talk about something/anything else.

Anyone else experiencing similar afflictions?

Thank you for the update.

Yes, I just spent the weekend in the Smokies with family and could not think of anything else!

I'm applying for spring 2018. I have to wait until the end of this semester since I'm still in some prerequisites.

Overall GPA: 4.0

5/7: 4.0 (still in one but have an A)

7/12: 4.0 (still in one but have an A)

I haven't taken my TEAS test yet though.

What did you end up getting on your TEAS, if you don't mind sharing?

I stopped by the Nursing office yesterday after my lab practical and can confirm above. She (the unlucky receptionist replying to all these decision inquiries) basically told me everything in the above post. So TL;DR: she doesn't know a damn thing either, except she was instructed to inform the 10,000 phone calls that decisions are starting to go out this week and may last until mid-October.

Good luck everyone!

It's almost October:/ wow I am going to die from the anticipation

I think tomorrow will be the day, a Friday so people can celebrate (or spend the weekend recovering from that epic disappointment)!

That is exactly what I was thinking!

I worked so hard for this moment and it came true. It feels exactly what I dreamed it would feel like. Good luck everyone! I look forward to learning and working with ya'll!
