Anyone else out there applying to KSU's nursing program for Spring admission? Post your stats and whether you are applying for accelerated or traditional. I just submitted my application for traditional.
My stats are:
Overall GPA: 4.0
5/7 GPA: 4.0
7/12 GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 88%
Competitive Score: 87.6/90
****Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4)
Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4)
Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation)
TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100
This gives you your competitive score
Hey everyone. I have been accepted to UNG and KSU's nursing program for spring 2018. I am having a hard time choosing which one to go to. Any advice?
Wow what a great position to be in! Many students would be envious of you. I'd say weigh the pros and cons of each program, which I'm sure you did already so... Pick KSU! Large, respected program in suburban environment, close to all the interesting locales but far enough from all the craziness. If financial considerations and other factors are relatively equal, pick KSU. It's a strong, well-established program with established relationships for your clinicals; UNG only has BSN for a couple years...
But in the long run, it probably wouldn't really matter where you went. Both great programs.
Also, you don't need to finish pre-reqs to gain admission at KSU. I am completing my last two this semester and I was admitted.
Hey there! I am in your same shoes. I was accepted to UNG and just recently KSU! You might be taking the online class for UNG that I'm taking? Though I was totally ready to pack my things and move to Dahlonega, I am choosing KSU. It is located in an area closer to more hospitals, and is only 15 minutes away from my home. Both programs are wonderful, and I have learned a lot from the online nursing course I have taken from UNG, but my heart has been set on KSU. I have friends who graduated from both who have said they were both great, so you are definitely in a great position anywhere you choose!

Hey!! Thank you so much!! I probably am in your online class haha. Well best of luck; you may see me!
Anyone have a house near KSU- Kennesaw Campus looking for a roomate or renting out a room? I'm currently looking for housing for the duration of the program + possibly a few months to prepare for the NCLEX after graduation. Clean, mature, responsible male; no BS, no baggage, no drama.
I know my friends are looking for a 3rd roommate! They live in Marietta, but only 15-20 minutes away from KSU campus. Super nice guys, clean, and responsible also. I can give you one of their's #.
