Published

Anyone else out there applying to KSU's nursing program for Spring admission? Post your stats and whether you are applying for accelerated or traditional. I just submitted my application for traditional.

My stats are:

Overall GPA: 4.0

5/7 GPA: 4.0

7/12 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 88%

Competitive Score: 87.6/90

****Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4)

Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4)

Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation)

TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100

This gives you your competitive score

My anxiety is out of the roof anybody not gotten an email??

I worked so hard for this moment and it came true. It feels exactly what I dreamed it would feel like. Good luck everyone! I look forward to learning and working with ya'll!

Also congratulations! What were your stats if you don't mind?

I have been accepted to the traditional BSN program! I am so happy! I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone. And congratulations to those who have already been accepted.

Was just accepted into the accelerated Program! Yay!! Good luck to everyone!!

I haven't. Honestly, I would be totally surprised if I got accepted. I met the bare minimum requirements as far as prerequisites go. I got a great TEAS score and my GPA is competitive for the prerequisites I do have completed, but I am finishing up the last few this semester. We'll see. I figured it couldn't hurt to apply.

I got accepted!!! Good luck to everyone still waiting on their emails!

I got accepted! Just want everyone to know who reads this I got denied in the Fall, so don't give up y'all got this!!

Congrats to everyone!! I can't believe I got accepted in to the program. I began this journey 11 years ago, unfortunately I had to stop school bc I got divorced. But I'm my heart I knew I had finish what I started. I repeated all my Sciences bc they had expired. A very tiresome feeling because I had gotten A's on all of them. So please don't give up.

I was put on the waitlist...

I just received acceptance into the traditional program. Last semester I applied for fall with 9 of the 12 pre reqs completed, an A in all classes except 1, a 3.76 gpa, and an 86 on the TEAS.I was rejected and I struggled to understand why. I finished the 3 courses I had left (Micro, Sociology, and Psych) and got A's in all those classes. My point is, do not doubt yourself and do not let a rejection letter negatively affect your school work. It may be that they just want you to complete all 12 before applying. Let it motivate you to do even better. Otherwise, if you let it get you down and you lose all confidence, then you will never get in. If you were rejected, just know that what you do next and how you respond to this temporary setback, will determine those who make it and those who do not. Be one who makes it. Be confident and show KSU and every other program that may have rejected you, that you belong and will not let this derail you.

I am applying next year to the KSU nursing program. The only thing I do not have is Chem II. My school only offers it in the a.m. and working full time has not allowed me to take it. Would I still have a shot? Or should I transfer to another school and do the class?

You definitely have a shot. I was only speaking from my experience.
