Anyone else out there applying to KSU's nursing program for Spring admission? Post your stats and whether you are applying for accelerated or traditional. I just submitted my application for traditional.
My stats are:
Overall GPA: 4.0
5/7 GPA: 4.0
7/12 GPA: 4.0
TEAS: 88%
Competitive Score: 87.6/90
****Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4)
Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4)
Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation)
TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100
This gives you your competitive score
That's very strange. How are you not an active student, but you can apply to the nursing program on Owl Express?
Wondering the same. I'm not technically a KSU student because I'm not taking classes there, but I had to be accepted to the university before I could apply to the nursing program.
I haven't been "active" in 3 semesters (I'm a transfer student) and there's apparently a rule that says if you aren't you're inactive. And I asked why it was possible for me to apply so they just now put in a safeguard for students who need to reapply. My owl Express says I'm an active student though so I'm just not sure how I was supposed to know
I think that's normally how it goes. At many schools, you have to apply and be accepted to be an "active" student in order to apply to their nursing program, even if you are not taking classes. This status lasts for some amount of time (depending on school). If you are not taking classes, it eventually expires and you have to reapply to be considered "active" again.
That really sucks. Is there any way you can appeal that?

It's definitely this week or next, because I have early registration for Spring classes in early October...
