Anyone else out there applying to KSU's nursing program for Spring admission? Post your stats and whether you are applying for accelerated or traditional. I just submitted my application for traditional.

My stats are:

Overall GPA: 4.0

5/7 GPA: 4.0

7/12 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 88%

Competitive Score: 87.6/90

****Total GPA- 20 points (multiply your GPA by 20 then divide by 4)

Top 5/7 - 30 points (math and science GPA only, multiplied by 30 then divide by 4)

Top 7/12-20 points (same as total GPA calculation)

TEAS 20 points - multiply by 20 then divide by 100

This gives you your competitive score

I have not taken my TEAS test yet, I'm scheduled to take it the first week of June. How did your test go? I have the ati study manual, but I'm struggling to focus on studying now that the semesters over.

Yes, I'm currently taking my prereqs at a community college close by my university. I will be done in July. Have anyone taken there TEAS? I take mine at KSU next Friday and would love some pointers.

I have a questions about calculating overall GPA. I graduated in 2013 with a degree in Business (but i completed a lot of the nursing pre-reqs before switching majors). I went back to school recently and completed the rest of my pre-reqs. How would I calculate my overall gap? Would i still include my grades from my previous degree or count my "core" classes and leave off all my business classes? THANKS!

Hello. I have been trying to apply to the nursing program. Do I need to be accepted by KSU before I can apply to the nursing program? I have access to the owl express but I can't seem to fin the application.

I'm applying for the accelerated program!

If they accept my summer class grades, then my stats should be:

Overall GPA: 3.58

5/7 GPA: 3.80

7/12: 4.0

Teas: 90

Competitive score: 84.4

I hope we find out a little earlier than the Spring 2017 class found out!

Hi there! I applied and got into the Spring 2017 program, and when I applied I was taking summer classes, but they said that whatever grades you have in your transcript when the deadline is (June-ish if I remember correctly), so they probably won't consider your summer grades, but I think they'll see that you did them.

Ok guys! When do you think we will hear back about acceptance?

I was told by an advisor that decisions will be made by mid-September, and we should hear something by the end of September.

Hi everyone, I am new here. I applied for Spring 2018 admission, and was told because my 5th out of 7 math/science prerequisite grades was reported as "in progress" on my transcript that I will not be considered for the term I applied for. But here's the deal. I took it first session Summer, so it is complete and I have a grade posted on Banner at my current school, but because the whole semester isn't over it did not post to my transcript - which sucks, but I get it.

Originally, I was not planning to apply this early, but when I realized the deadline was June 30th and not the 1st like I originally thought (My class finished on June 20th), I busted my butt to get my TEAS exam done (which I got a score of 94!!), and spent extra money to take it at another college 1.5 hours away from my house, and also to have the report sent to KSU. I'm very disappointed that this one thing is holding me back. The class is completed and I have grade, it's just not showing on my transcript! I went ahead and sent the admissions office my unofficial transcript so they could see it's complete, just in case...

Any one else in the same situation?

Thanks! I've been told different things by different advisors. One said they won't consider my summer grades, and two others said they would. I wish people would get on the same page!

YES! It's frustrating. Good luck!

Competitive score: 84.02 B.S. in another major.

Applying for both traditional and accelerated. Good luck everyone!

From the website you " Must have an active application on file to attend Kennesaw State University or a currently enrolled student. Must be able to log into Owl Express to access application for Nursing." The application itself is ridiculously short once u find it on Owl Express. It takes literally less than 15 seconds to fill out...
