Just wondering if anyone out there is planning to apply to Kennesaw State for the Fall of 2013. I know the deadline is 3 months away, but I wanted to get a thread started for anyone interested in discussing the process as we go along!
Stephanie, where did you find the list of what we will need for the program? I was accepted for the traditional program. I'm assuming the list would be the same for either program? Going tomorrow to hand in my acceptance contract. Hopefully, they will be able to tell me something then as well! Can't wait for fall!!!

Hope that helps.
There are two nursing kits. One is a book bag with supplies in it like a catheter, syringes, wound irrigation kit, etc. You actually pay for it at the bookstore and the they'll have them ready to pick up at your nursing class orientation (not the ksu orientation). You use those supplies the entire program during classes and practicing on your own. The other kit is for health assessment and it's got a BP cuff, reflex hammer, pen light, measuring tape, tuning fork, etc. You'll use those for labs and check offs for that class. Surprisingly, we used almost all the stuff in that kit. Hope this helps!

Hmmm I can't remember how much the big bag costs... Maybe $60? Or $70? But at least you use it the whole time. Still not cheap. The health assessment one- I bought a graduating senior's for $20, but I think they are normally around $40. I definitely recommend stalking the SNA page at the beginning of May to see if any of the seniors are selling their stuff. The only book I would not recommend buying used is the Holistic book because you need a code for watching skills videos for your labs through out the program. You can buy the code separately, but I remember looking at the prices and I think it's better to get the new book bundle.

Thank you! I wasn't sure about my decision until I watched a video showing that they put in a new skills lab a few years ago, it's the same quality dummies that I saw at Emory when I visited last week.
