NHSC Loan Repayment 2023 Cycle
I was starting to lose hope after seeing that many of you had credit checks done in July... I finally had my credit check on August 23rd! I'm wondering if mine was done much later because I had to apply for the part-time option? I am a CNM and I do work full-time split between outpatient clinic and hospital but my clinic hours didn't meet the FT requirement sadly. Fingers crossed!

Labor and Delivery Nurse + BSN
You can graduate with BSN and go directly into labor and delivery or you can do med surg and then switch specialties. It depends on the hospitals in your area. Definitely work a few years before going to midwifery school.

Clayton State University Fall 2013
Hi futureRN2015-- I saw your PM but I can't respond. I don't know if there's a Fall 2013 Facebook page, but there's this generic CSU Nursing page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Clayton-State-University-School-of-Nursing/165943530108336?fref=ts Is anyone taking Pathophysiology right now? I'm taking it online with Dr. Foster.

Clayton State University Fall 2013
Yay! I'll be happy when we're finally done with paperwork and actually in class! By the way, I recommend the American Heart Association class, they have a great split portion that is website tutorials/quizzes and then a 1hr practical session. I did it earlier in April when I was still deciding between schools.

Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants
Thank you! I wasn't sure about my decision until I watched a video showing that they put in a new skills lab a few years ago, it's the same quality dummies that I saw at Emory when I visited last week. So I'm confident that I've made the right choice!

Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants
Hi all... so I made my choice, I'm going to go to Clayton State. So that leaves an open spot in the Kennesaw accelerated program, hopefully one of you standby/wait-listed ladies will get to use my spot!

Clayton State University Fall 2013
Thanks... I know that Kennesaw state is good, because a lot of people who applied there plus GA State and Emory did not get into Kennesaw (but got into the other 2 schools). I just don't know a lot about Clayton. I guess at the end of the day, I'm going to be responsible for making myself the best RN that I can be... so I am going to stay with Clayton as my choice. Esp. because it has 1/3 the amount of students that Kennesaw has, and it's 1/2 the distance from my house! =P

Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants
Hi everyone. I am in a quandry. I applied to, and was accepted to: GA Perimeter, Emory BSN 2nd degree program, GA State ACE program, Kennesaw State accelerated program, and Clayton State. I've already turned down Emory and GA State because neither of them gave me enough financial aid to even cover tuition. I turned down GPC because it was my safety school and I really want a BSN rather than an ASN. This leaves me with Kennesaw State and Clayton State. Kennesaw State has a deadline of 4/30 to accept, but Clayton sent me the letter on 3/30 and gave me until 4/5 to accept! So of course I accepted Clayton State! However, I'm torn. I am not sure which program is better, and wanted to see if anyone else had applied to both Kennesaw State and Clayton State, and what you had heard? If you had the choice of either, where would you attend?

Enter your TEAS V Scores here!!
BSN Adjusted Individual Total Score: 93.3% ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Exemplary Mean - National: 64.3% Mean - Program: 70.6% Percentile Rank - National: 99 Percentile Rank - Program: 99 Reading - 92.9% Math - 100% Science - 83.3% English and Language Usage - 100% I was really upset with my Science score (largely b/c I hadn't taken the second semester of Human A&P and there were some of those questions on there) but I figure that my overall score is competitive enough to give me options on the 4 BSN and one ASN program that I'm applying to for Summer & Fall 2013.
