Kennesaw State Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Just wondering if anyone out there is planning to apply to Kennesaw State for the Fall of 2013. I know the deadline is 3 months away, but I wanted to get a thread started for anyone interested in discussing the process as we go along!

Thanks for being so sweet everyone :)

After our mailman finally came at 9:30 last night (???) I did receive my letter telling me that I had been placed on standby. It's obviously not what I want to hear but I have to roll with the punches. I knew in my heart that I didn't get in when everyone started posting about the acceptance emails they received.

Anyway, today is going to be all about plan B for me. Gotta keep moving forward...

And congratulations again to everyone who did get it. I wish I were joining you of course, but I truly am happy for all of you!

Don't lose hope! A girl in my chem class was put on standby and she was called a few weeks before class started and asked if she wanted to start the program. She had to decline because she dropped out of Chem 2 when she wasn't accepted.

Just be prepared to start if they call. There will be students who pass up KSU for other schools and students who don't finish prereqs in time. And who knows- you could be first in line!

Paula - I think your mailman is a sadist. :) I'm glad you finally got your letter.

I feel your pain on this one. I keep telling myself that 'Maybe' is waaay better than an outright 'No'.

Congratulations everyone!

Yes, Marasca, we are in the same boat on this one! I agree, I'm happy with a maybe.... for now ;)

Hi all... so I made my choice, I'm going to go to Clayton State. So that leaves an open spot in the Kennesaw accelerated program, hopefully one of you standby/wait-listed ladies will get to use my spot!

Stephanie is so right! You could very well be at the top of the standby list. Competition must have been super crazy for accelerated this semester! Don't give up! I'll see you friday. :)

I turned in my contract to F today. And as premature as it may seem I ordered my white Danskos. I looked up the pricing on uniforms and books and WOW. Bit by bit Im gonna be chunking away some change over the next few months.

I hear ya! Why do you prefer Danskos? Do you know if most nursing students wear these type of shoes or white tennis shoes?

I've been wearing Danskos for over 10 years. They are the only shoes I can wear that don't make my feet hurt by the end of the day. I'm not sure what the average nursing student wears, it's just a personal preference. The danskos I've owned have lasted many years.

Creigel - I didn't feel comfortable commenting before, since I'm clearly hoping to land a spot, somehow. Now that you made a decision I thought I would tell you that I got my original BS at CSU back when I lived on the south side of town. They have great faculty and a beautiful campus. I'm sure you'll love it.

Good luck!
