Kennesaw State BSN Summer 09

Hey! I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the interview process at Kennesaw. I have one coming up and was wondering what questions they ask. Also, how is the interview structured? I would appreciate any advice!

I am so glad I found this thread! I was accepted into the Summer 09 traditional program, also. I don't know anyone else in the program yet, but we will all meet soon enough. I still haven't heard anything about the orientation schedule etc, but I went ahead and got my nursing physical at the campus clinic. I have heard it gets a little hectic in there once they announce the requirements at the orientation. Like you all, I am trying to get a jump on the huge list of tasks!!

Welcome to the thread hopefully we all can meet up at orientation. I can't believe it is already March we only have a couple months left before our lives will change drastically. :yeah:

Welcome DTD! Glad to have you! About the physical...did you make an appt w/ student health? Was there a fee?

The clinic does require an appointment for the physical. There is no cost for the physical, but if you need a PPD (TB test) it is five dollars. If you need the HepB vaccine it is $35.00 for each shot (3 shot series).

Fran directed me to this page a couple of weeks ago. It has a list of things we have to do before clinicals start. I am OCD so I wanted to get as much stuff done ahead of time as I could. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information DTD. I thought I was the only one who was feeling a little anxious. I am on the webpage now. I was wondering have you signed up for the CPR class yet? I just signed up with Kristi Brannon. She said she is one of the faculty members and the classes fill up fast. In case anybody else in our group needs to know the dates for the class are March 17th and 28th.

I just talked to Kristi Brannen. The class I sighed up for is Saturday March 28th @ 10:00 am. The cost is $60.00.

Thanks so much for all the information!! I just scheduled my physical as well. Does anyone know how long the CPR class is on the 28th? Also, does anyone know if we have to get uniforms and that kind of stuff? Im sure we will find out in the letter they send, but I am like you guys trying to already get stuff done early. Thanks again for all the info!

Hey Bam Bam- Kristi told me the class on the 28th is 3 hours long and there is a book we have to get but she will email us all of the info. Good, looks like we are all in the same CPR class on the 28th. :) I haven't found anything out yet about the uniforms I can't wait to get into a new pair of scrubs. I know after being a nurse for a few years I am going to hate scrubs. Hopefully, we will get our orientation info soon.
