Keiser (Wolford) CRNA 2019 Applicants

Published

I have applied to Keiser University CRNA program in Naples, FL for 2019.. anyone else planning to or already applied there for 2019? Anyone starting in January 2019? Please do not comment about the school being a "last resort" school as seen in past threads and posts. This thread is intended solely for current and future applicants applying in 2019. If you had interviewed at Keiser before, please provide some insights.

Do you know how many have been accepted so far? I interview in July and am worried about space. Lori assured me there will still be spots to fill.

I wouldn’t be worried about that .. you still have an equal chance

The last MSN class is this September. They are aiming to get the DNP accreditation to start it in January.

Congratulations to everyone who had gotten in!! I too got the excellent news today and can’t wait to meet you all! Best of luck to those interviewing here in a couple weeks. If someone has the info regarding the FB group it would be much appreciated.?

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for this wonderful and very enlightening thread! This school is definitely on my list of applying to for January 20’. Was wondering if anyone who has applied has been accepted under the provision that they finish a class? I still have to take one more chemistry class this fall so I will be finished in December before the program starts in January. Just not sure how they feel about that? Any insight is helpful!

Also, I had seen on their website that the program is being re-evaluated for becoming a DNAP for the year 2020... is this still true or is it just MSNA?

Thank you!

STICUBSN,

I am actually perfect person to comment on you post.

I was accepted into Fall 2019 program on the condition that i pass Chemistry. I took it over this summer, passed it and will start program in Sept.

It is true that Keiser Univ plans to start accepting students for DNP program Jan20. I am not certain if that will happen but that is their goal. Keiser has been very ambitious in their plan to become and remain credible. I honestly see them achieving that goal Jan20

Wow, thank you SO much for the reply! That makes me feel so much better ?

what was your interview like? (I apologize if this has already been discussed)

I gotta say, my interview was different from what I have heard is the norm. What I have heard is that the interview is relatively laid back and made to help you feel comfortable with no clinical questions. Mine was also pretty laid back but I was asked 2 clinical questions. Most interviews last roughly 15 min, mine was 45 min.

I studied drugs, anesthesia, and how being a RN will help me excel as a CRNA. I studied how the heart is affected. I looked up questions they may ask and made sure I had a good answer for it. I didnt want to stumble. I wanted to show confidence that I deserve a chance to show u I have what it takes

What kind of clinical questions did they ask you?

I have my CCRN and I’m hoping that studying for that can cover a big majority of the questions they may ask. However, is if the questions are related to anesthesia... I’m gonna be lost ? That’s why I’m there, to learn about anesthesia lol
