Nursing Students SRNA

I have applied to Keiser University CRNA program in Naples, FL for 2019.. anyone else planning to or already applied there for 2019? Anyone starting in January 2019? Please do not comment about the school being a "last resort" school as seen in past threads and posts. This thread is intended solely for current and future applicants applying in 2019. If you had interviewed at Keiser before, please provide some insights.

Hey CRNAdegSeeker

I'm planning to apply to keiser. Unfortunately my stats and chem requirement course would only be done by dec 8 so don't know if I would make it into the Jan cohort but plan to send everything else in few weeks. When did you apply ? Did you hear anything back ?

Hey, aspiringCRNA

I applied and waiting for one more reference. I am hoping to get in for

the February 2019 cohort. I know it's close but they still had open

spots for February. what are your stats?

I thought the cohort starts in the first week of Jan 2019.. that's what the school told me when I called them in September.. I got 3 years charge ICU, CCRN, TNCC and all the norms but my GPA is 3.1 from 10 years ago . I retook a few science classes so hopefully they would consider that. What about you ? I thought you had to submit your whole application including the references ? How long have you been waiting to hear back from them ?

When I spoke to the enrollment coordinator she told me the class starts in February. Not sure. My stats aren't perfect, 1 year ICU experience, 3 years ER and 7 years RN experience total, GPA 3.23 undergrad, GPA 3.91 MSN. CCRN, PCCN, and TNCC, certified. I haven't heard from them because I still have to send in one last reference, ( my supervisor was on vacation for about 2 weeks) . I'm taking physics to bump up my undergrad GPA a little. Where else have you applied if any? I haven't heard back because my application is still incomplete. I have one interview pending at another college out of state.

hmmm that's really strange about the start date but it works in my favor if the next cohort starts in feb. I don't think you will have any issue getting an interview coz they will consider your MSN gpa.. i applied to Barry but dint make it coz of the gpa. My plan is to get an MSN of this doesn't work out and reapply. I've heard the interview is pretty chill but keep me posted of you hear anything and good luck at your other interview

I interviewed and was accepted last week for the January 2019 start. I'm waiting to hear back from their accreditation visit this week. Also waiting to hear back from other programs that I've interviewed with. Trying to find others that are in my cohort for Keiser. I was told my start date for class was January 7th so I'm not sure where you are getting February, although that would be nice.

Hey sicumurse27

Congrats on the acceptance.. how long did it take for them to call you after you sent all the paperwork ? I'm trying to figure out if they would still take me for the Jan cohort if I get all my paperwork done and the pre req done by Dec. if you don't mind would you share your stats too ? Good luck on the rest of the interviews

Congrats on getting into the program! I have an interview for the same program in a few weeks and I am so excited and nervous! If you don't mind me asking, what are some questions they asked you and what should I do to prepare?

Hi congratulations on the interview call . When did you apply ? I just want to know the timeline for them to call for an interview

It took around the 3 weeks or so before I got the call for an interview. It was a more get to know you kind of interview which was a nice change from intense other interviews. My stats: 3 years Level 1 Trauma/SICU, charge for a little over a year. CCRN/TNCC/ACLS/BLS/PALS. GPA 3.4ish. Retook a bunch of classes this year and finishing up a graduate pharm course to boost grades.

Class starts January 7th, just like you guys mentioned. I don't know how I got february lol but It is January indeed
