I have applied to Keiser University CRNA program in Naples, FL for 2019.. anyone else planning to or already applied there for 2019? Anyone starting in January 2019? Please do not comment about the school being a "last resort" school as seen in past threads and posts. This thread is intended solely for current and future applicants applying in 2019. If you had interviewed at Keiser before, please provide some insights.
Hello current Keiser SRNA students,
Is anyone on this forum currently enrolled in the program and willing to provide any information regarding the relocation process they experienced, where to find code effective housing, in what areas, how many weeks did they relocate before classes started. Any general information and pointers for the upcoming prospective 2020 students. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
best of luck to each of you current and future SRNA’s!

Hi, I’m a current student, and once you get an interview. They will provide you with a package that has recommendations on many cost effective apartments within the school area. However you still need to do your own research to find out what will work best for you. And once you find a place the decision is yours to make as when you want to move. I ended up moving one week before class since I wanted to know the town. Some student in my class waited few weeks after classes started to find a place. But I personally wouldn’t recommend since moving sucks and you will be dealing with classes and studying while dealing with moving. Best of luck to you. ?

Naples. They are Keiser’s core sites and as such treat the SRNAs better in general as well as give them excellent training and learning opportunities.
Tampa is a level 1 trauma center. You will learn more however, like CRNA_SWFL mentioned, Naples is much more friendly and nicer to Keiser students. In addition, many other schools rotate through Tampa making it more challenging to participate in those good cases anyways because there is competition. I went to Keiser, graduated last May! I would pick Naples all over again !
Depends on what you want. Better case selections or better treated as a student. In my opinion you just need a less stressful environment (Naples) because when you start your career I am sure you will get trained there. I started 1099 and so far im OK on my own without an anesthesiologist and no orientation (I came from Naples).

The clinical experience has been great so far. Everyone has a little bit different time, but overall you get a good mix of cases and plenty of OR time. We had students doing hearts in their first rotation, along with Swans , A-Lines, etc.
