Kaplan...What's the outcome?

Published

I am truly wanting to succeed in nursing school since I barely passed 2nd level. My mom is RN is starting to help me on nclex type questions, such as breaking the question down and analyzing. as I am reviewing, I am noticing that each question I ask myself "whats the outcome?" or thinking about "safety" so I went to google which books or courses have test taking strategies with the "whats the outcome" .....for those who has taken Kaplan courses did it help you when you were a beginner at taking nclex style questions? or did incredibly made easy nclex books help the most? I already have saunders and I find it quite difficult right now because I need source that is going to break the question down first ....then once I get the hang of things then I can go to saunders thanks :)

I just took my nclex Wednesday and failed. I took the kaplan review and didn't pass. I stopped at 75 questions. HOWEVER I recommend Kaplan highly because if I had done all of my q trainers, got the decision tree down, and used kaplans test taking strategies I could have definitely passed.I did not utilize Kaplan to the best of my abilities. I am now retesting in 45 days and this time I will seriously use Kaplan the way I'm supposed to. All the q trainers, the decision tree, and the ENTIRE q bank. You got this love, just takes dedication and determination which I did not have the first time. Also reread the rationales to the questions you get right, and even the ones you don't.Good luck!

I haven't done Kaplan for a nursing test but I did take a Kaplan class for my SATs and my score went up alot!

I just passed my nclex and used Kaplan the Qbank only though and I feel it was the one program that definitely helped me pass in 86 questions. I would definitely recommend it. Do all the questions and review every single rationale. I didn't take the course or use it during nursing school though because we had ATI instead, but I feel Kaplan is far better.
