Hi there.. Me too I'm studying for the NCLEX RN but I'm still waiting for my eligibility letter from BON California. Right know I'm reading Comprehensive review for NCLEX RN by Hogan and I'm planning to enroll at Kaplan. And this coming weekend I will check the library if they have the book for prioritization by Lacharity and Kaplan. I'm also doing Saunders NCLEX RN Q and A application thru my iphone and NCLEX 4000. Hope this will work. I want to pass my nclex rn exam..
I agree with Caliotter3. The Linda LaCharity book on prioritization and delegation is excellent. It really helped me. The questions make you think and are closer to the type of "passing questions" in my opinion. I finished almost the entire book. I even did a couple of the case studies the night before my exam. The case studies are hard. I scored approx. 60-75% on average throughout the book.:)
My strategy is somewhat similar, however I do not have Kaplan.
I use Saunders Review. I decided to review the content in one chapter, and answer the question at the end of the chapter. Afterward, I use the CD and select EXAM mode on the specific content that i reviewed to make sure that I have a good understanding of it. It seems like I do one chapter a day. I am taking it slow so I know I really understand the information. It seems to be working..I hope! I recently ordered the prioritization book as well, because I hear that there are many questions similar to that on our boards. Seems like everyone has Kaplan though..wonder if I should get it? I just don't want to overwhelm myself with too much information ya know! :)

hi, i am studying for boards(nclex-rn) and wondering if anyone has had any success using kaplan strategies book. i am currently studying from the kap book and going to saunders for reference, kaplan tells u what u need to know and i go to saunders to read about the content and answer the questions at the end of the kaplan chps and saunders chapters, after ive done this i answer questions from nclex 4000, i know it may seem like a lot but its the only way i feel like i will review everything and give myself a fair chance at passing, i plan to take the test this time next month, i would like to pass on the first try, no wait, i will pass on the first try.
if there is anyone out there that is able to give me any advice, help, resources to help me pass nclex rn i would sooooo greatly appreciate it
thanks in advance
