Published

Has anyone heard word they've been accepted to Kaplan's ADN program in San Diego for the Jan 2010 start? Just found out today that I'm in! Looking forward to hearing from future classmates!

I'm in the program now. There is no wait list for anyone. You either have to have medical experience, be a cna, lvn, ma, or somthing like that or have a bachelors to get in. Otherwise they will tell u to take a cna course before applying. Good Luck!

hey emily hows the program so far?

Hi guys-

I know this post is really old but I am just looking into Kaplan now and waiting to hear back from an admissions person. What are the requirements? I have 1 1/2 years experience as a CNA and 6 months as an EMT in the ER. I also have all my science pre-reqs done. But not done with math yet. Do they require the TEAS before you can apply? Haven't taken it yet. I really want to get into school and get it over with and I am fairly certain I'd have a job at the end of it where I work right now, so I just want to get in! (Like everyone else haha).

Any info would be great. I really appreciate it. Do you like the program so far? How much does it cost? Also, can you transfer Kaplan credits if you want to get your BSN eventually?

THANKS!

I have also been reading this thread, I just applied to Kaplan in San Diego for the ADN and am waiting to hear back, just trying to find every post that I can on this program, trying to kill some time while I wait!!! But yes you do have to take the TEAS before you apply, and have to get at least a 75 I think, but anything above an 80 is good my advisor said, I got an 84 so we'll see....:redpinkhe

Hi Mrs.Jones-

Do you know when the application deadlines are? I talked to an admissions person and he said to go to an info meeting but I can't go until next week. It sounds like they admit students 3x per year. Also was there a minimum math requirement? Thanks for any info and congrats on your TEAS score!

Well, this deadline was August 1st, but I think there are 3 per year, and I don't think there is a requirement for the math but they do look at the math and science the most... I used the ATI book, good luck!

Hey guys, any new info.. did you guys end up getting in? I am going to an orientation tomorrow to get more info on the school... are you guys happy with your experience so far?

Currently finishing my 3rd semester at Kaplan in San Diego. When I applied for the program, from start to finish was 6 weeks. I am also part of the first group in the "extended" 24 month program. My educational experience has been great and I highly recommend this program. Our pharmacology instructor is brillant and dedicated to the education of future nurses. Her exams and quiz's are killer but it's because of her dedication, she goes the extra mile, Whoot!! Whoot!! Cynthia!! Thanks!! To anyone considering Kaplan's ADN program I highly recommend it :)
