Hi all,
I was wondering if someone who has taken the exam before and also done kaplan can help me with this. I am testing for nclex rn in less than 2 weeks and i am not sure about the questions in the qbank. are they similar or are they a bit harder than the nclex exam?
As i have been preparing, my scores have stayed roughly the same in above 60%-69%. i have scored 56 and 59 as well on rough days. What are my chances of passing?
Hello, I am to take the nclex for the second time and my school provided Kaplan. Initially I dismissed Kaplan because I was stuck in my ways and the information and format was hard to get use to. However since I have taken the nclex and had the whole 265 and near passing in all areas except pharm. I can tell you that the actual lay out reminds you of Kaplan as if you are home taking trainers and qbank questions. Looking back I knew I was failing because some of my questions were easy how ever I did have sata and hotspots and drag and drops. The report and even Kaplan taught me that I was definitely fighting hard but not thinking critically enough being the fact I had the whole exam and my report indicated near passing in all but pharm. I have definitely created a study plan stuck to it still using Kaplan and its content review as well as Saunders and the 35 page study guide. I have since then schedule my exam for October and even had Kaplan to allow me to take another diagnostic exam as well as readiness exam. I believe there are different strokes for different folks but Kaplan is it for me. I feel much more prepared and confident this go around. I hope this helped and please you all pray for me and I will keep you guys posted on my progress and hopeful passing of the Nclex.
hi funnynurse,
were you guiding me or someone else? I just finished my kaplan q bank (100%) and my cumulative score was 68%. I still feel unprepared and have serious anxiety but tomorrow i will attempt qtrainer 6 and review the whole lot tomorrow and the day after. i will keep you guys posted with how i did, hopefully i wont be too bad
lakrugrn,
congratulations first and foremost. i have scored ok i think but i feel anxious like most of the test takers. i haven't done q trainers 6 and 7 which i will attempt tomorrow and on wed i think. i have drawn up a timetable so that is what has kept me focused. could you please share your scores and your exam experience? were the questions on the exam harder or same or a bit easier?

No prob. Kaplan has a lot of data question. To be honest I am crap at them but I hope I will
do better in the exam. It is a very good critical thinking review. Knowing your core is good foundation but the questions are going to be at an application/ analysis level so that is what Kaplan prepares you. I will let you know the verdict after I have given the exam
