has anyone gotten a 49% in the overall qbank score and passed the test?
i mostly get low 50s and high 40s and i feel desperate. just venting out.
can anyone please respond? thank you.
i a little disappointed :smackingfwith my scores before i got 50-60+ % in the kaplan questions but now im really nervous its like i dont know anything i got scores from 46%-51% , but when i take the nclex 4000, i got 60% + . i will be taking this sept. but i keep believing i can do it , and God will help me
You CAN do it. Forst of all, you got the right idea (in my opinion) with the Kaplan QBank. The NCLEX set up is extremely similar to the Kaplan set up. Keep practcing computerized questions, since that will be the format of your exam. Review all rationales...even if you get the answer right. Kaplan wants you to pass as much as you do, so keep doing their questions! You have a few weeks to keep at it. Good luck!!!
i find kaplan questions difficult. when i start answering queation i got 48% in qt1 , and i got around 40 - 50 % in qbank, but when i watch the content and practicing question my score dot higher , i want to finish more on content then answering questions, do you think my score are ok now im getting 50%-69% so far , igot 62% in diagnostic .
i got about the same on the diagnostic and passed boards with 75 questions the first time.. hope that helps !
Here's my story...did Kaplan and got a 59% on Diagnostic. Did the first 3 trainer tests & only about 40-50% of the Qbank questions, both of which I got progressively WORSE (at one point got a 46% on a set of 50 questions)! My Predictor test I got a 56-57%, so I went down there too. I was beginning to get really jaded. I thought some of the Kaplan questions were way out there too (like intubating over giving Epi to a Pt who got stung by a bee, rxn sxs were coughing, sneezing, flush face, & feeling warm, I get that you need an airway but what part of the stem shows the airway is compromised?).
I looked at what my weak spots were on each test then would do some questions in those areas. I also reviewed the content lectures (had them on while folding laundry or something) of my weak areas. Reviewed labs and made some ways to remember them. I was getting really discouraged, to the point that I was tempted to reschedule my test. I didn't reschedule & hoped for the best. I didn't feel like the Kaplan course decision tree worked for me. I actually went back to a Kaplan book I picked up at a book store and reviewed the part on how to use Maslow, the nursing process, & safety to answer questions.
I took my test this past weekend & got my quick results 2 days later...PASS!! And I only got 75-80 questions (last looked at 71 & then remember answering several more before it shut off). I thought I miserably failed. Anyhow, it's still possible to pass! And in talking with some classmates, they were beginning to get similar results and they passed as well. Good Luck!!
