You shouldn't study or prep for the Dx test. The Dx test is just that - a diagnostic. It's intended to identify your weak areas and serve as a guide for how you should study throughout the course in addition to doing your QBanks. (:

Yeah I agree. You would not want to study for a test that examines where you are weak or you will get false results.

However I found it quite useless. I got 45% and I need help on every area. Yeah I know that. Kaplan isn't working for my now. I need to use it later after learning more content.

is that with the kaplan online??

I agree with what you guys say about the Kaplan Diagnostic.but in my school it is being used a basis for pass or fail..I can have an A average and if i dont pass with a 65% i am srewed.. I take it August 2 and if i dont score a 65% i have one more chance whcih si the Readiness Test 2010 to pass with a 65% or I fail the course..this is my last course and will have to repeat the entore 11 weeks again. No way around it..casue they school wont send my docs to the BON..

So if anyone has any pointers please please emial them to me [email protected]

Wow I am so, so sorry. If my school did that the entire class of 60 would fail except maybe one person. There is a chart somewhere on allnurses with the correlation of passing percentage and at 65% has a 96.10% chance of passining NCLEx. So it's almost like your school is expecting the entire class to get an A on a test that cannot be studied for.Yeah ther is no real way to study for it as it s like taking NCLEX. Can you Di Kaplan qbank questions? Do you have access? That may help.

for the kaplan readiness i woudl study as much as you can with content then practice Kaplan questions

@worldtravelingyogi no we are fighting for them to oprn the q bank for us to use as practice but so far no success..i been using the question trainers, the focus review test on kaplan, the all nurse study guide, 400 questions, 3500 questions...it is just hard to know what to focus on..plus i have lacharity for delgation, prioritization and assignment..very frustrating but no one to complain to that will do anything about it..it i smy last semester and september 11 cant come any sooner..

Is the diagnostic test included in the fee you pay when you purchase the Q bank?

well i would definitely spend a lot of time on the kaplan decision tree and that is also in the book which i am asuming the provided you. if not i am sure a quick search would produce the decision tree.

a suggestion if they don't open it is to purchase just the qbank which is cheaper than the whole program. if you purchase it with some friends and divide up the time you are online the cost will not be so bad. yeah it seems silly when you will probably have acess to the whole program once you graduate. however you want to pass this exam and i would not doubt some of your classmates are buying the qbank to make sure they pass.

Is the diagnostic test included in the fee you pay when you purchase the Q bank?

Kaplan has a lot of different programs. I think if you purchase ONLY the Qbank then no you do not get the diagnostic. But I really don't know because I don't have that program. I would call Kaplan and ask them.
